so, in june, i will be officially done with my schooling.
i realized today that i will not graduate this semester because i needed 2 more art classes to fullfill my studio art minor.
well i immediately signed up for two "boot camp" classes in the summer, mtwthf classes from morning till afternoon...for a full month!
I'll be graduating in 2008 with a BA too. All I can say is research grad school if you want to do more learning.
I'm not too sure what a New Media major is, but why don't you be proactive and start talking with the editor/producers of media companies that you wish to work for?

I believe the Jehovah's Witness experience removes a slice of our humanity from us. I would love to be normal oneday, at least, regular, but until I can bridge the gap between my real life, and someday being able to share with all of you in person, this is as good as it gets.I know what you mean. i just got my hands on a copy of my book of bible stories ... (1978).
at first i was excited when a friend pulled it out of his bag, said he'd gotten it as a kid.
then i started flipping through, looking at the pictures, feeling the memories spin in my brain.
My parents read it to me as a kid, they skipped the stories like Jezebel, etc. I think it's b/c my mom had a jaded JW upbringing (her two sisters are out, and my grandma doesn't speak to one of them) that she didn't wish to put on me and my sister.
I just want to get my family out of that cult, but nothing will work (well, there are a few things, but I don't want to cross the proverbial line).
in recent weeks, we've had a few jw apologists or sympathizers that have created a bit of a stir around these parts.
some of their posts have been inconsiderate of the feelings of others, causing no small amount of understandable outrage on several threads.
on other threads, some of them have frequently failed to even read the posts to which they are responding, causing them to make comments that are unrelated to the discussion at hand.
I can certainly see where they are coming from. But I've never really seen an honest hearted apologist who is not self-righteous, but concerned for the spiritual welfare of others (this would make the less annoying).
i've taken a leaf from holly's book to thank your for having me on the forum - thirteen interesting days but came to realise one cannot achieve much speaking from behind a screen.

it seems clear now that the watchtower religion has already started to decline, in the western world at least.
how will this decline play out in the future - this is one of the most interesting questions relating to the watchtower at the moment: will the witnesses enjoy a slow leisurely decline over many decades, or can we expect a major split and disintegration in the near future?
