:They've never got ONE prophecy right in 130 years
i keep hearing this. does anybody know how many prophecies they got wrong?

when i was studying and in the org i never did put two and two together becuase first off it was peer pressure and a young baptism age.
i was indoctrinated as a child so i never got a chance to ever use sound reason and judgement toword the validity of the society's claims.
but anywho i was thinking the other day about certain things that are obvious red flags and far fetched claims that the org makes.

i was just re-reading a thread and saw this line-it makes you realise that some jws would fail a test to become the village idiot.. it made me laugh my butt off, again (same as the first time i guess!
) so i was wondering what other great lines have stuck in peoples minds!
whoever gets the prize, come into the chatroom if you think you're 'ard enough - there, one has to be funny on demand!

:Just try and submitt your own ideas and views on religion, life, morality, what you think the Bible says, at your next watchtower study
ah, now that's a line worth remembering. trouble is jeff, the fool would readily swallow hook, line & sinker the "admonition" that the elders would give to him, and would "correct" his "misunderstanding" on the spot without even a word of dissent. tosser.

JW Ben,
i've been reading a few of your past posts.
: Jehovah's Witness use their "free will" to voluntarily come under the "mind control" as set out in the Bible .
i'm breathless with admiration.

:JW doctrins ( no trinity, hell, imortal soul; paradise earth, only few go to heaven etc) have not changed.
:Some aspects of their understanding of prophecy have changed
would you care to explain this apparant contradiction?

in five words or less, please give examples of statements no jehovah's witness in good standing could ever say.
here are two examples:.
"you will die at armageddon."
just try to get a dub to actually utter that sentence, all, and only, those words, and in that order. they believe it, they're looking forward to the day, but they can't bring themselves to actually say it to your face. consequences, see, they just can't deal with consequences.

another post that i was on triggered a memory of something that happened in the late 60's???
two members of the gb... in canada were on the platform.they obviously knew each other quite well.
one offered to the other that he was good for a....can't remember the (insult brit type) laugh that was raised but even then i thought it was out of line.
:A OLD brother used the word jewing, as in "you are jewing me down".
maybe this is something one hears only in the states - i've never heard it in england. excactly what does it mean?

when i became a witness in ventura, california in 1973. i was 15 years old and in the tenth grade.
i was the only one in my family that was active though my mother, step father and my brothers thought the watchtower was the truth.
my step father had been raised a witness while my family was not affiliated with any particular church.
i once threatened to turn my own brother in to the elders for "slander" - he'd just made some stupid throwaway remark about somebody in the congregation, and he was only about 17 years old at the time. i meant it as well, an 18 year old pioneer is a beast to be taken seriously! i was such a fucking idiot. hope i'm a little less stupid now.

the text reads:.
ford.. on the roads of europe, german ford trucks testify to the work of german industry.
the agile, reliable and easy to maintain ford truck will be a welcome help in solving the major tasks that await our continent after the war.
how did they get the acropolis into germany? and why?

and eve's creation would have marked the end of the 6th creative day, correct?
