  Christmas Tree Pictures-Post them

  we put our first tree up, a blue spruce with white lights and a hodge podge of ornaments and a little tinsel.

  it's beautiful and was a lot of fun, the kids were so picky about choosing where to put their ornaments.

  anyone else have a picture of their tree to post?

  Last weekend I erected my first Christmas tree ... and it is gorgeous ... and then this weekend my JW brother and sister in law called to say that they were coming to visit. I immediately panicked thinking that I would have to dismantle the tree etc. But I decided that if they were going to abandon me ... it would be better for them to do it now before my baby boy had grown really attached to them ... Not only was the tree up, but the stockings were hung on the entertainment center with glee!! I also refused to take down the 5 flags that I have had flying in my front yard since September.

  I was nervous, of course ... but neither my brother or sister in law said a word about it. It was spooky. Not one word ...... When they left they hugged us goodbye and invited us to come visit them soon ..... spooky.

  If it turned out that JW's were right ...

  yes imagine if after all the struggle and effort to break fee of jehovahs witnesses it turnred out that they were right all along.. the governing body were getting messages from god and were being used by him , proof came out that evolution was false.they found noahs ark and ancient manuscrips were found that proved the bible true.. also lasurus was still alive and well living in siberia.. the next thing we know religon has been banned.. there are signs in the sky and strange phenomenon.. we look up and see the moon turned to blood and the sign of the son of man appears in the heavens.. next to him is a flying pig.. we realise pigs don't fly .. we wake up sweating.. it was all a dream.. releaved its all over we get up for a new day.. we open the curtains, allwe can see is fire and brimstone.. we hear screams of tourture.. satan laughs.

  Lisa,

  When I was 10 years old, my family (white) adopted my little brother Jesse who is black. We got tired of the questions too and my father and mother both came up with really cool responses.

  My Dad used to say ..."My wife ... she burns everything!"

  My mom would tell people that he used to have freckles just like her and the all grew together.

  Dumb questions deserve dumb answers.

  My husband and I both have very dark hair and our son has wispy blonde fuzz. Many people have asked where the hair came from .... I tell them that we were both fair haired when we were younger and then I follow up with "of course the mailman is blonde!"

  Grateful for Small Mercies - WBTS and Christmas

  it just dawned on me that the wbts is doing humanity a great service by not observing christmas and birthdays!

  wait, don't throw stuff at me yet - hear me out!

  imagine if the jws observed christmas and birthdays - what would they give as presents to their "wordly" relatives?

  just nice to know that i'm not alone.

  i'm truly amazed and had no idea unitil yesterday surfing on a whim i decided to confront my past.

  it's a blessing for me and i feel another turning point in my life because now i have lots of people to talk to and i know now that i wasn't and i'm not going crazy and that it's not just me.

  Class Action Lawsuit

  i am seriously considering finding out what is involved in putting together a lawsuit against the wts.

  one that all xjw's in the us can join in.. has the wts not violated our civil rights, taken away our right to choose, without bias, how to live our lives?

  were not our rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness violated?

  I wish there were a way that this could work. Especially when it comes to the kids being coerced into baptism..... I feel that this is a violation of their constitutional right to freedom of religion .... but then who am I ....

  i have been "fooling around" with brother charlie for a couple months.

  going to his apartment and spending the night with him.

  i am so in love with him, i would do anything for him, anything at all.

  I was in a very similar situation just before leaving the borg .... I was desperately obsessed with a man who couldn't/wouldn't commit to a relationship. He played the yo yo game with me ... and this normally rational fairly sane female became a drooling idiot in angst constantly fearing the loss of "my man". It took a very long time for him to drag me so low that it was no longer worth it ... and when I finally reached that point, I realized that not only did I despise him ... I was pretty darn disgusted with me.

  Less than a year later I met Bob. He loves me unconditionally ….. is proud of me .... he is so kind and tender that to this day he can move me to tears. He is strong in all of my shaky places and I am strong in his. We are partners and best friends. I like the me that I am with him. I am SO grateful that I was free to love him when he came into my life.

  When I look back now, it still makes me sad and a little sick to my stomach to think of the degradation that I willingly subjected myself to for so long.

  The fact is ... you are choosing this misery. You CAN make a different choice. There is life after obsession, and it is a better life. I am not saying that it won't hurt; I am not saying that it won't be the hardest thing you have ever had to do..... I am saying that it will be worth it.

  Who Wants A Christmas Card?
