Hey, I just wanted to put my vote in that you did a great job. Whether or not these elders are sincere in their beliefs has nothing to do with the fact that their beliefs are demonstrably false and very harmful. The end justifies the means imo.

I got nuked before meetings quite often. It was all I could do to further numb my mind-numbed brain from the pain. The only drawback was having to go for so many piss breaks and having to re-tuck in my dress shirt every time.

last time i checked most people just do the holiday because their kids get excited, they have some time off to hang out with friends and family, and getting wasted becomes socially acceptable.. gbl.

How many songs are stored on your computer or IPod?
by gaiagirl inthere is a very good used book/music/dvd store near my home, and i visit them regularly.
i don't own an ipod, but on this computer i have currently 4172 songs stored on the hard drive, 341 hours worth of music.
however, i'm sure that many folks have even more.

I have over 40 gigs of music on my hard drive right now. Whenever I hear a song I like I immediately download every album ever made by the artist. I'm just constantly downloading music.

Hi everyone, hope you all are doing ok! Long time no talk..
Have any of you seen the new DVD "An Inconvenient Truth"? Its an environmental educational film that I think is quite good apart from Al Gore fan-boy rhetoric. Anywho, my girlfriend is pals with a JW at her work that said that we have nothing to worry about because God will soon "bring to ruin those ruining the Earth". We watched the movie and got a better sense of how to do our part in reducing carbon emissions and this JW thinks theres really no point in even trying because, quote, "one person can't change anything". I think JW's are going to love to try and spin this popular film with their apocalyptic agenda.
Have any of you seen this? What did you think?

THE BACK PEDDLING HAS ALREADY BEGUN......
by Mary inas i mentioned before in another thread, my dub aunt, along with several other witnesses, told me that they were specifically told that the governing body let it be known that tract work would trigger the beginning of the end by infuriating the other religions and somehow causing the governments to "turn on babylon the great".
this was supposed to start before the end of this year.
one thing i mentioned is that they were smart enough this time, not to put anything down in writing, but simply let it get around by "word of mouth".

How did you tie your tie?

Great question.. I was wondering that just a few days ago when I tried on an old suit for an up-coming xmas party. The only way I can tie is if I dont think about it.. otherwise Im all sausage fingered. Might give you an idea of my state of mind during the meetings. GBL
