What if "the end" happens in 2150?
by JustTickledPink injust a question.... what if the wts came out with a for sure prediction based on new light that without a doubt armeggedon will be here in 2150?
well, that means that our generation will all die, but we can hope for a resurrection and we have to continue to preach and our grandchildren or great-grandchildren might actually be the ones to walk through the "end" into their "new system"
the question is how many jw's would there be?

Yes, but my question was, if it wasn't coming in your lifetime today, how many JWs would quit today? Would some stay "faithful" and still believe and live their life will the knowledge it wasn't coming in their lifetime?

WTS definition of an apostate question:
Any question not listed at the bottom of your Watchtower magazine that correlates with the above paragrah. Any question not listed at the end of the chapter in review of a WTS book. Any question that questions the authority of the FDS. Any question that questions the authority of the WTS.
Now, quit asking so much da*mn questions about questions already. Just read your magazines, the answers are all there.

Just a question.... What if the WTS came out with a FOR SURE prediction based on new light that without a doubt Armeggedon will be here in 2150?

The question is HOW MANY JW'S WOULD THERE BE? The end is always so "soon" but what if people realized not in this lifetime? Would everyone quit? Would there be a select few that still did it?

The same old lie.....do they really believe it?
by Gill inwhy am i surprised on reading the latest watchtower, the april 15 2005?
i had thought that the wtbts would at least be cautious in making its prophecies now.
surely after over 100 years of failed prophecy you might be a bit more careful, or would you?.

I always like to point out that Jesus own disciples thought it was coming in their lifetimes, they thought it was "soon" too, that was a couple thousand years ago.
And about this Noah guy, hasn't that example been used to death? Does it have any impact anymore? It still makes no sense to me that 1 man was able to preach to EVERYONE in a few years and then God destroyed the WHOLE world except for Noah and his family. I am sure there were people, natives living somewhere on some secluded part of the world.
I realize I don't really like carrotts, maybe that is why I don't seem to chase after the pipe dream no more.

Can active elders post here?
by what_Truth? inbeing on this site is obviously taboo for most active jehovah's witnesses since it is frequented by disfellowshipped and disassociated people who are supposed to be shunned.
from what i understand though, elders are allowed to talk to df'd and da'd people, so logically wouldn't it be okay for them to post here?
come to think about it, if an elder logged on here he would have an opportunity to check the repentance of these individuals and perhaps "win them back to jehovah".

Why risk it? Keep him locked up, that way we know if God can't change him at least he can be kept from the general population.

Jehovah is keeping my step-daughter from getting a job?
by wordlywife inhi all...... i have heard my dear jw husband say this about his daughter many times over the last month or so.
it kills me to hear this, and that he believes it.
god punishes people by not rewarding them with a job?
-
JustTickledPink
It's just like if they get a job "Jehovah really blesses those who serve him" I think ????????
When my mother got a chronic illness I asked her why wasn't Jehovah blessing her with a cure, she said that it had nothing to do with him, and everything to do with Satan.
Rolling my eyes.
