If by Good News you mean Lies and by Grand Scale you mean their Bank Account, then yeah, the Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones...

I walk up to them, shake my piercings at them and they flee like vampires from garlic!

Hi everybody, I´m a new member from Spain
by benito infirst of all, i want to apologize for all the mistakes i will probably make, i m not very good at english, it s very hard for me to think in another language different than my native tongue (spanish, of course!!)..
i ve been lurking through this forum for a long time but i didn t dare write here because of my lack of knowledge of the language but i changed my mind.
i think i can give a different point of view from other members of usa of uk, it seems that most of the members are from theses countries.

In the 80's...probably anything with a Smurf promoting it. In Puerto Rico they sell 'Malta' which is a malt soft-drink. It was banned because they claimed it had Globulin in it (protein in the blood). There's also this thing that roughly translated it's a blood sussage. It's made using the pig intestine as the sussage 'skin' and it was filled with cooked pig blood and white rice.... personally I found that one disgusting and I will never eat it even now that I left the borg.

What movies make you think of the Borg?...
by Hecklerboy ini was watching a great sci-fi movie the other day (chronicles of riddick) and there was a phrase in the movie that jumped out at me.
a soldier was being promoted and he said the phrase "obedience without question, loyalty till underverse comes".
i thought "wow, just replace underverse with armageddon and that sound just like the witnesses".

In my mind... Equilibrium. I saw it before I left the borg and then I saw it by chance after I left and I couldn't believe how much that movie resembled all the stuff I was thinking and feeling about the borg at that moment. It was really amazing. http://i.imdb.com/mptv1.gif

If you won the Lottery big time, would you be happier?
by Rod P inhow many of us imagine winning the big one, and all our problems in life would be solved.
we could get whatever we wanted without worrying about money, could buy our way out of almost any situation (like the rich folks do), go on any vacation anywhere in the world, dress to the nines on a daily basis, and use our wealth to get others to do our bidding.. money = sex, power, influence, decadent luxury = happiness???.

What were your reasons for not liking the ministry school?
by LongHairGal ini dropped out years ago because i couldn't stand getting together with sisters i didn't like to do a talk.
i hated it with a passion!!
i do realize that you did learn but what i resented was that the sisters were inflicted on each other in a way that i don't think the brothers were.

I loved it, I used to pull great talks out of my ass on command. A friend and i would fight over substitutions that gave us like 15 minutes to prepare right there on the KH. Now I see how stupid I was back then.

Slacker Pioneering
by scotsman inas i was reading the thread about not at homes i wondered if anyone else a slacker pioneer?.
there was a bunch of us in our hall that went out on a wednesday.
we usually managed about 45mins before needing a coffee which somehow extended through lunchtime, maybe interupted by a return visit that hopefully wasn't home.

Ha! My pioneering reports were a much bigger Fiction Saga than anything that George Lucas has ever written. :D
