What we need is Cult Freedom Day, I would celebrate that.

Possibly overdone topic - panda world
by XU inwhat did you think you would be doing in the paradise?
like after all the garbage was picked up and the 2nd dead were buried?
i thought i would get a house with a creek running through it and play with animals.

Maybe jumping off a cliff cuz there was no death, like in Ground Hog Day.
and you wouldn't even have any pain or suffering while doing it.
I would catch up on all the back issues of the Awake and Watchtowers.

Hypothetical ? for u. What if armageddon really did come...
by *jeremiah* inok, here's a hypothetical that i'm curious about.. what if armageddon really did happen?
not necessarily according to jw terms or timetable, but at some point it happens in your lifetime.
would any of you return to the jws?.

Yet, I know that there are many on here that disagree with 95% of the dubs belief. But if the apocalypse was obvious to many and truly in motion, not just a one-time disaster, just wondering who might go back.
So I guess this hypothetical question is to those who are agnostic or atheist.
I think what your getting at is like the saying " there are no atheists in the trenches"(war).
That's a whole different ball game.

Were you accused of starting your own RELIGION?
by Amazing inmouthy said that she was accused of this ... and i remembered that i too was accused of starting my own church.
supposedly, i went up and down the west coast, gathering up followers, and then secured a church building in the seattle area.
the book, crisis of conscience, mentioned that allegations were made against some bethelites who supposedly secured a meeting location, and started a religion known as 'sons of freedom' or 'sons of liberty.

What say you ... have you been so accused?
No, Though they can't fathom that their is any alternative to being a dub though.
My dad kept asking me "what are you , what do you call yourself, are you an atheist,
you must believe we came from the monkeys ......."
I told him I refer to myself as a christian.
No reply, defense or acknowledgement just on to the next dub subject ..........

Personality of "Anointed" JWs
by Smiles indid you notice any similarities in the personalities of "anointed" jws?.
did they use their anointed status for personal advantage?.
were they the most loving person you ever met?.
-
moomanchu
And then there are the strange ones. The way it's set up it's going to naturally attract some of the mentally ill. The JWs as a whole attract the mentally ill. (This is not meant to be derogatory towards mentally ill people.)
Speaking of these does anyone know R.S. from Pennsylvania he is nuts and has papers to prove it.
He is annointed and collecting money from the Government because he is mentally disabled.
He looks like he belongs to the band zz top ( and I don't mean like the drummer).

Misery and death
by Norm inhardly anything seem to fill the writing staff in brooklyn with such joy and gleeful anticipation as the potential for a good old disaster, something that may kill untold billions of people in a very short time and cause a fertile ground for more superstition and mumbo jumbo.. the december 22, 2005 issue of awake!
magazine is an excellent example of this when it asks the question: can it happen again?
i found this in the norwegian edition.forever on the lookout for doom and gloom and signs of the end brooklyn ever roaming eye is attracted to everything that has the potential to spell death and destruction to mankind, the worse it is the better it is to brooklyn.. this time (as so many times before), it is the possible emergence of a superflu like the influenza pandemic that swept the world in 1918, which these morons with their far fetched insane ideas think was foretold in the bible.

I hate being with people who hope for the worst.
I wonder if Jehovah will vaporize or disintegrate the billions to be utterly annihalted.
Otherwise the dubs will be busy burying.

I almost did what Bill Clinton did but then thanks to the Watchtower I didn't because I had pics. of
the family
So no one gets the wrong idea I was just joking about this part.
Also there was a couple in our hall who got divorced then J. got married to D. meanwhile Cathy got reinstated. So there they were one big happy JW family J and D and C all together at the hall. I could never understand why Cathy didn't go to another hall.
