How could I have believed it all? - response
by Lady Lee inthe "blame the victim" thinking that ex-members experience is common among all victims of trauma.
in fact we live in a society that is filled with this mentality.
and we were a part of an organization that reinforced this thinking every time they blamed the rank and file for the borg's mistakes.. the effective use of mind control techniques is not dependent on a person intelligence.

Out of their own mouth -COMES BLOOD
by biblexaminer init would be best to have read the article beforehand.
the governing body should take it to heart.. .
paragraph 18 relates that she was "'frightened and trembling'... doubtless because she knew that she had broken god's law.

NWT translation
by apostate man ini have been doing a lot of research lately on jws and the new world translation.
through history, i found that king james, in 1604, ordered a commitee to accurately translate the original scriptures, from hebrew and greek, into the english language.
this took 47 people 7 years to do and thus came up with the kj bible.

most of you may reluctantly hold the opinion that every thing the watchtower currently teaches isnt all bad so could you please give your honest opinions as to what you think is good about the org.. so what is there that can be said about it and its teachings that is good.. especially about prophecy.

Most hated Bible stories....
by PopeOfEruke inyears ago, i had a pet-hate bible story, and it was this one story that actually started me on the path to freedom from the borg-org.. it was the story of lot when he was living in sodom and the 2 angels visited (dressed like men of course).
and the crowd of sodomites were yelling "send out the visitors so we can bonk them senseless".
remember?.

by jerome ini would like to ask ew-jws jw a question.
when you read the book crisis of conscience how instrumental was that book in getting you to leave the organisation.. i have a gf who is an active jw.... i by the way am wordly.
this religion thing is putting strain on our relationship.. she condems me for obtaining information about the watchtower from apostates or just about anyone who has something yo say about the org.

Were the Gospel Writers Really Eyewitnesses?
by JosephAlward inin defense of the inerrancy of the bible, many believers make the assertion that the gospel writers wrote about what they witnessed firsthand.
let's consider the case of the gospel called "mark.
" the writer of those jesus stories does not tell us he walked and talked with jesus, or that he witnessed any of the events he described, so why should we not believe that he was only reporting what someone else said happened, or perhaps what he thought should have happened to fulfill scripture?.

who wants to be second best?
by toribabe injw's belive that one day that they'll live in paradise, which is fine.. but how can the belive that they are saved?
the fact is they don't.
i concider being saved as a wonderful gift from god, that one day i'll see him and spend eternity with him, and 'with him' i would concider to be in 'heaven' with him.. the gospel is, that god loves you, jesus died for you so he could forgive your sins and that all man is equal in his eyes, and jw's stand firmly on that belief.and then they believe that at the end, 144 thousand shall go to heaven (which i think is the highest place, where god has his throne, and where he rules from, basically the best) and that the other belivers will stay on earth in paradise.. don't you think that, that's awful, how could all those belivers be satistfied with that?
