QUOTES.CA What won't the WBTS admit?
by hamsterbait inthe fantastic quotes website said that as of 2005.01.31, the wt has not specified which books, specifically, they feel are still copyright protected.. .
the law is that copyright for an author lasts through his life, and for so many years after his death.
(blondie will confirm this - with a source i betchya-) ::: in order to prove that certain works published years ago are still within the copyright, they would have to admit and confirm who wrote those works.. .

WAS Minimus Genuine??
by hamsterbait ini was reading min's earliest posts and they sounded kinda 'wtlessey'.
apparent attempts at defending da troof.. min were you already sick of it all and trying to keep your finger in the dyke, or did you really still believe and doing like some of the newbies do even now on this forum?.
we all know the big scandals but what did you discover that really made you decide "this is enough??".

HOW ARE SUBJECTS ALLOCATED SO QUICKLY?
by hamsterbait indoes someone sit reading them as they come in??
is the puter programmed to spot certain words and allocate automatically?.
adult for instance implies smut, yet my last post was about suicide.. sorry about pressing return automatically after tapping in the subject so often.... hb

LATIN LETTERS
by hamsterbait intry again rodent!!.
i reckon the pronunciation of the yhwh is purely an accident of how european languages evolved.. jerome said that some ignorant ones when reading the lxx pronounced the yhwh as 'pipi' as they thought the square hebrew letters to be greek ones.
so we know manuscripts existed in his day with the letters.. in latin it was written iehovah.

Did life as a JW turn you into an alcoholic?
by hamsterbait ini certainly blamed my drink problem at first on the frustrations and blah blah blah of the life as a jw.
if you had a drink problem as a jw what caused yours.
does leaving aid recovery?

They saw a ghost
by hamsterbait inas a youngster with the original green nwt i could never reconcile how the wts could print in a nt verse "they thought they had seen a ghost!
" when they were adamant such did not exist.. does anyone remember that verse (in acts, i think) i only have later editions where that and others are excised, and now s.o.
is trying to "smokescreen" me with the usual denial card.

The Final Pope
by hamsterbait inwho was the medieval monk who accounted all the popes to the end of the world in a prophetic document?
john paul ii (i think he should be called jp the great) was described in the manuscript as "he who stoops in the sun.
not only was jp a farmworker harvesting potatoes and turnips (believe me you'll stoop), but his charateristic gesture on arriving in foreign lands was to stoop and kiss the ground.

Vines Suppository and the WT
by hamsterbait inthe wt frequently quotes from "vines expository dictionary.
" i heard recently that many of their interpretationsof the symbols of revelation were lifted from that dictionary, and applied by rutherfranz to any current events that could be made to fit.. e.g.
the beasts.. does anybody have a copy - can you verify this.

Whip them hard, make them cry WT 05/01/05
by hamsterbait inaccording to the "new light " on sheep and goats, nobody is judged as unworthy of a resurrection if he dies before christ sits down on his glorious throne.
the judging is done in situ not in retrospect.
yet the wt 05/01/05 p. 22 says to jws:.
