she said "i am a jehovah's witness and we are honest people, that's why i am returning this to you.
" when i told her that i would return his wallet also and i am the antithesis of a jehovah's witness, and that i was disgusted that she would give them credit for her own decent nature, she just carried on about how he would be more likely to listen next time they knocked at his door... i found it repulsive that an act of nothing more than decent behaviour (where one treats another as they would like to be treated) was made out to be something exceptional... and that my mother used the occasion to laud the wtbts... good grief!!!!!!!!!

Just a couple of gems I picked out
I am unsure how it would be if they were made MS's or elders but I have a feeling these are positions women don't really want. I could be mistaken.
Maybe Women are at the bottom of this particular ladder due to thier having been created for man, not man created for women
I respect my husband but we always make joint decisions. It amazes me how JWs fall into line, without really believing it. I know I did.
I hated it when women were commendated on the platform, it was so condescending...................
The worse thing was when you were on sevice on a Saturday morning with territory you had worked all week. You would have to stand there while a snotty 17 year old told you were to go and what to do, and not challenge him if he were wrong !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I particulatly liked the comment made by the bloke who thinks his wifes main thing in life is cooking bacon &eggs, sweeping the floor and getting up with the baby at 3 am

Trouble in Paradise??
by Gill ini was having a look at the accounts of three local congs as i had heard a bit about the borg beginning to run low on cash as donations are falling.
locally, i was very surprised to see the cash flow problems of these congregations.
i had a look at other areas and saw that there were a minority making a small 'profit', a lot breaking even when it comes to contributions and a fair amount that are losing the plot financially.. congregation 1. accounts for 2005/06 income was short 19,000, yes, their expenditure was that much over their income.. congregation 2. accounts for 2005/06 income was short 11,000.. congregation3.

Just pondering my upcoming plan

i have been to several apostafests and meetups, some i even organized.
i have met some truly wonderful people, and there has always been a sense of camraderie that i have felt.

Maybe I don't want to live in Paradise
by pratt1 inwhen i was a teenager, and really trying hard to be a "super witness" i remember thinking that if all the wicked people were destroyed, how would this change our everyday life.. what happends to the people that supply electricity, water, garbage collection, gas, fuel for cars, mechanics, farmers, cattle herders, etc.... how would we survive?
if armafoggeten happened in the winter would those in colder climates die?.
i you were on some sort of medical equipment that required electricity, would you die if there is no one a run to work in the electrical plant?.
