My Study Conductor Jumped Ship - Any Possible Explanations?
by InterestedOne inmy study conductor has informed me that he & his wife are switching to a foreign language congregation that is far away from the territory they live in (it will involve a lot of driving back & forth).
because he is switching congregations, he said he will not have the energy to devote to my study and recommended another brother who could take over, and i have met him.
however, this change happened simultaneously with a decision i have made.

That's the first stage in the process of leaving the religion that you do not believe in anymore.

All out pandemonium breaks out on The Six Screens Conference call... Guest Barbara Anderson and Johnny the Bethelite.
by koolaid-man inthis highly explosive six screens of the watchtower april 9-2011 conference call is now up loaded and ready to be heard.
concerned people from all over the world were calling in to get the latest news on what is going on in the world of the watchtower.. our first guest was barbara anderson and she brought us up to speed on the criminal complaint the watchtower organization is facing in australia.
barbara as always wants the facts straight and delivers her information in a very professional, competent manner.. steve guziec a former j.w.

Six Screens and Rick Fearon are totaly over the edge! No wonder "mother" lumps us all as demon possessed apostates. I'm sorry for the abuse you have had to endure from his cult and for the life of me, no matter how much I love and respect Barbara Anderson, why would someone of her caliber even think of being on Rick's call cult? He lost his credibility long ago.

In answer to one post.....what is wrong with conservatives? We just don't want all you lazy so and so's to take a part of what we work so hard for. It's called money$$$$$$$.
I worked long and hard for years to be where I am today and I share some of what I have. Why should I have to share with someone who just wants a handout without some iota of work or ambition? If you fit the "wanting a handout" group, then weep and gnash your teeth for not getting anything.

AndersonsInfo
by minimus ini am sick and tired of people putting down posters like the andersons!
they work hard to expose some things we might never have known about.
why some find fault with them, or ray franz before them, or maximus when he was here is beyond me.. be thankful for those that decide to come here and share what they know about this organization.. we get elders who are still in their positions and they share with us a lot of interesting news and perspectives.

An ignorant poster such as that should be terminated from this forum. I thank the Anderson's and all the others who help expose what is going on in the borg.

Are You Going To the Memorial?
by headisspinning ini can't see myself not attending.
i would feel horrible not to go.
i don't know where i'm going to land and if i had to look back and think i didn't go... well, i would feel awful..

No way! Last time I attended anything JW was memorial in 2003 after I'd been out for a couple of years. It was because of wondering if I had made the right decision to leave. Now I'm positive the right decision was made! The only JW connection I have today is this board. It enables me to see what I am not missing.

Rick Fearon is a loose cannon if not a complete kook! It's a case of a "somebody" never being a "nobody" in the JW organization and now he wants to have a following. A'int gonna happen! His web site and antics are what make current JW's searching for "truth" run away from what they see on this discussion board and the web in general. Then the questioning JW thinks that what "mother" tells them is true.........that everyone who falls away are tools of Satan.

Nah......I faded in the late 1990's and really haven't had any problems at all. I was an elder from 1986 to 1991 until I resigned because I couldn't stand the spying and hypocracy that was needed to keep in good grace. I haven't had one single regret since. I'm happy to say the my daughter (my only blood family) also left and we are closer and happier than ever with our lives.

Worldly people don't suck
by streets76 inmy wife (never a jw) is ill and undergoing a series of treatments that will last for many months.
it's a physical, emotional, and financial drain on both of us.. my wife has run her own business for many years and has an extensive client list that includes some very well-to-do folks.
one of those clients called her one day and offered to pay all of her medical expenses.

I found this out in 1996 when my wife was dying of cancer. My so called JW friends did absolutely nothing but say that I was missing too many meetings. My "WORLDLY" neighbors were helping constantly. They watched over her when I had to be at work and brought food over constantly. It was an eye opener for me and one of the many, many reasons I am not in a cult today.
