I know I did.....and I was an elder.

i've read a few people mention making up the figures for the field service reports, and i want to find out how common it is.
i never lied on my report.
sometimes i'd round up 15 minutes if i'd mentioned jw stuff to my brother that month, but that wasn't falsifying.
I know I did.....and I was an elder.

i know the question is long, but it has occured to me that there are a lot of newbies here but before that, many ex elders, some co and do's that are no longer jw's.... did the publishers comments at a jc about the misconceptions, dates, and lack of holy spirit, etc.
make sense to you and did you start thinking about the failed prophecies, fudging the "new light" etc.
which caused you to slowly fade away.. .
It's been so long but when I had to sit in and/or chair a couple of judicial committees , I couldn't stand it. Who was I to make judgement. That was part of the beginning of my end of being a JW. I always took the side of the "condemned". My reasoning was the scripture of Jesus saying "Who will cast the first stone"? It didn't sit well with the main powers that be....but I was always look upon as not being 100% a part of the "good old boy network in my cong. At least I'm free of all of in now. Espedially the guilt.

hey i'm just curious if there are any ex dubs in pittsburgh and if theyd like to meet up sometime.
i have tried to communicate some former jws that i personally know before but most of them dont respond.
i am currently technically inactive staying low under the radar trying the gurilla tactic..
Hey! I'm in the Pittsburgh area. Live very near Kennywood Park. Only problem is....I'm an old ex elder and 66 years old. If you want to be around a senior, then I'm all for a meet up.

Are you all f--ing brain dead or am I being shuned for my comments. On the very first page of this post I told you that there is no extradition between Costa Rica and the US. What can't you understand about that? If you are wanted....Costa Rica is the place to flee to.
Now....instead of flapping your idiot answers.......do a little bit of research before stating your opinion.
So get f--ing real and know what you are talking about.

i'm sure alot of you have noticed, the influx of new jwn members with "postitions within the cong" this is amazing, i myself am still an m.s.
working to get removed.
lol my wife (who has been really supportive throughout my fade) asked my why i am doing i decided to fade?.
I was an elder from 1986 to 1990 or 91(can't remember) until I resigned because I was disgusted with it all. It took me another 10 years to leave for good. But at least I am out and happy now.

once i was little boy in fort worth, texas living with my maw maw and paw paw and mommy.. then, i was an 18 year old 6'4'' skinny 165lb religious nut being dipped in a baptismal during a local assembly.. suddenly, i was 20 and listening to a jail cell door clang behind me as a conscientious objector.. wow!
23 years old and put on parole until my 6 years sentence was ended!
i got married to a nice jw girl and had 3 kids!.
Happy birthday Terry. I wish you the best....and keep on posting. My 66th is in two weeks. Where did the years go?
HappyDad
wow it felt good to type that heading, if only it were officially true!.
i guess i dont want to dwell on "ttatt" too much, though i am now an inactive jw now, and will be forever, i dont want to be defined by that.
but i will certainly keep an eye on this forum, contribute where i feel i can, and i must say thankyou to those who moderate it and keep it running.
Thanks for the input....but I've been on this forum for 9 years and maybe I'm to old to understand all the abreviations.....but what the hell is TTATT?
HappyDad
PS: if a poster can type the entire story, then why can't he/she just spell out what they are trying to say instead of this kind of BS?
quentin robburts has been on jw-net off and on for over 6 years and he is one of my oldest and most loyal friends.. his wife called me awhile ago and gave me the news.. quentin was rushed to the hospital's emergency room with acute renal failure and congestive heart failure.. .
this does not surprise me for the following reason.
his pain doctor put him on oxycontin last thursday.
I'm wishing Quentin the best and giving good vibes to yo also Terry.
A true friend is hard to come by.

yes, by land transfers - connected.. .
first - masonic hall property.
the parcel now known as the land owned by the mason's appears to have been consolidated some time ago to form one huge parcel.
NeverKnew,
I live in the Pgh. area myself. Very close to Kennywood Park and have been to the grave site many times. Thanks for the info.
Now I wonder if our paths have ever crossed such as at the Assembly Hall or whatever. I left the borg in 2000 and have not regreted it at all.

you've seen or heard about the ripley's believe it or not museums, where different weird & wacky items are displayed from human culture.
let's compile a list of the weird & wacky items from the jw religion that would make a great jw believe it or not museum.
maybe the wts could open one up it's own historical museum in brooklyn to make some big money.
Wearing jade jewelry, playing chess, and having wind chimes (they evoked the demons) was all taboo.
