Just had my first "cold call"

in the course of the last 3 years, i've had just one visit from jws: a visit from from an old bethel roomate and another elder, just to check up on me, and see if i might want to rejoin the fold.

you might well be able to imagine my responses.

then, last weekend, a nice young fellow (mitch) and his young (teenage) daughter, stopped by, while i was working in the yard.

I love your story. Since so many dubs are miserable, it really bugs them that we are happy out in the world. They take misguided comfort in believing we will be destroyed in the "last days". I keep waiting for them to show up at my door, since we are in a different congs. territory. I hope to have such an interesting conversation with them!

we had the c/o meeting this week and he confirmed on the platform that the watchtower is "experimenting" with television add's in the usa.

he also said that they are on 'community' television and are free.

I would definetely try to come in quietly and sit in the back. No matter how quite I tried to be, heads snapped around to see who dared to be late (mine was one of those heads when I was early!). Invariably, it was noticed by the people I didn't want to notice!!

Christmas shopping

today i went christmas shopping for the first time in 17 years!

i am 42 years old and felt about 10!

I had my first ever Christmas 4 years ago! I went absolutely nuts with shopping. I love it so much, the tree, the shopping, everything. It's so much fun.
