please remove me from this site, i am tired of the sarcasm and the insults simply because i choose to believe in god after leaving the borg.
i am beginning to believe that the borg was a better place than this site because i never once endured what i have had to endure here with certain individuals.
it seems that it is ok for some to criticize others here but when you stand up for what you believe in the shit just gets deeper.

Isn't Ken Branaugh in this flick?

apparently, this kid mentioned wrote a disturbing short story about a massacre, but he himself had no plans to do anything about it.
he was prosecuted under an oklahoma law that prohibited 'planning' a columbine-like event.
this law is so broad, that even writing a fictional story could be prosecuted.

You can read the story on the site.
And yes, the layout of the tale is a short story. Quite macabre, but hardly felonious. There's a lot of movies that have come out that are worse than that. Was the writer, director and actors in the movie Heat prosecuted for showing the planning and execution of a bank robbery? Hardly.
Tell me what you think.

though it may not be 'morally right', I'm sure not going to miss that pederast. Let em fry. Nothing is too harsh for abusers.
ash
for those who are newly out, and especially for those raised in it, they have a huge task in dealing with all the effects of the abuse.
they have little or no "self" to build on from a pre-existing self.
many need to start from scratch and discover things about themselves and learn about how to make good decisions versus being told what to do or asking an elder.
Really, isn't part of the jigsaw puzzle pieces that are given to us by others? And very often, the pieces are oh-so important.
I couldn't agree more.

i noticed on little toe's jw chat thread talk of learning new slang words.
it got me to thinking we should all share some local or personal sayings so we can all understand each other better.
and who knows, with so many people here from all over the world, you could start an international catchphrase of the week!.
Well here in Jersey, when talking about taking a little trip to our darling beaches that kiss the Atlantic, we say, "Yeah, we're going down the shore." Not, we're going to the beach, or going to the shore, but going down the shore, whether you're going to a more northern beach or not.
The word 'tourist' is more than just an identification of people from out of state. It's practically an ethnic slur to us, as in "f*****g tourists are clogging up the Turnpike again!!!"
When we refer to New York City, it is simply, The City. We assume you know what we're talking about. There is Philadelphia to the southeast, and DC further south, but they are more like suburbs of New Jersey. NYC is like an older brother who parties too much.

i'll be 126 if i get to celebrate new years eve 2099. i suppose it's possible though highly unlikely.
do you think you'll be alive then?
possibly. 120 might be reachable for me (1979 baby here). I'm Polish you know, and we're a hardy bunch.
YAR!

already 42,938 americans have stood up today in defense of civil liberties.
as attorney general john ashcroft began his tour of the country to promote an expansion of the patriot act, the american people are signing a petition demanding that ashcroft "stop compromising our freedoms; stop eroding our basic civil rights; stop trying to teach our neighbors to spy on each other, and american communities to mistrust each other.".
if you haven't yet signed the petition to stop ashcroft, do so here:.
Done. I left some comments as well. The Patriot Act is as dangerous as legislation comes.

for years, my wife and i have had bad luck.
we were abused and were part of a destructive cult that almost succeeded in driving us to successfully commit suicide, we had to elope to get married, she cried for a year because of how rotten her parents were to her, she almost died a year later from an athsma attack, we got screwed to the tune of $6,000 on medical bills, our cars continually break down, my job is screwing me out of 15,000 a year just because they can, my wife got into a major car accident that has left her in continual pain, i myself have knee, hip, back and foot problems, we may not win the civil case to get some exta funds for her injuries, which will leave us even more profoundly in debt (possibly $6,000), her parents essentially disowned her, we had her deadbeat brother live with us for 3 years because we felt sorry for him, and we barely even got a thank you for our sacrifice, our car insurance is 6,330 a year (more bad luck), we can't afford to buy food, my wife and i are both near physical and mental breakdown, and this morning, my car's transmission broke after sitting in traffic on route 287 for three hours.. there's nothing left of me.
i must be cursed.
For example, when looking for a new job, instead of grumbling and saying "I hope I find a job" say "This new job is going to be awesome!"
LOL. Maybe that's my problem. Being the eternal pessimist, I always think of things in this way...."I'll be lucky and thankful if I don't get hit by a bus tomorrow.." LOL
oh well.

Thanks for all of your replies, guys. I'm doing a little better today...I had some time to get my head sorted out.
We're probably moving to Buffalo Oct. 1st. I'm quitting my job Monday. It's time to make some drastic changes.
Thanks for all of the support, and when I have a little more energy, I'll get back to all of the PM's I got.
Things have just been so stressful, and yesterday I felt like I was going to break; I almost did. I was physically shaking for half of the day. I'm just glad I got through yesterday intact.
Hopefully, this is the one kick in the ass that I'm going to act on.
We want to move away from Jersey, get rid of one car, trim the bills some more, just generally get back on track. Also, my wife and I are going to see a psychologist soon (separately) ....we don't need pills, we think, just an objective ear that can help us sort our pasts out...our present relationship with each other is a wonder of love and trust. I never thought that I would have to worry about my past again, but I guess I have to deal with it someday.
As for my our marriage, that the is best thing we've ever had; each other. But it seems as though everything else in the world, all of the people in it, are conspiring to make us lose our minds. I'm just glad that we're going to be able to finally sort things out.
Thanks to all of you,
ash
