Proof of God

i'm an atheist as i do not see any evidence for the existance of a god.

i encourage critical thinking in everyone and am ready to debate anyone on whether or not there is a god and what that god might be like.

Screw belief in god, does anyone believe that the OP truly exists? The Dantastic one starts an account, posts, and then disappears. I just think it's funny that he started this and we're four pages in but he's nowhere to be found. I'm not sure I believe that he truly is Dantastic after all. I'm dantappointed in him.

I call bs on that being Trottigy. He is too brainwashed to come to a place like this. He'd be terrified, and he wouldn't use the same name. I think someone is just having some fun, which I'm not opposed to either, but no way that's the same guy from cult talk.

Shot off a TON of Fireworks for the 4th of July, did anybody else?

i just finally settled down for the night, as its 1 a.m. in the morning, est, right now.

i finally cleaned up my yard a bit, and a few friends that were over have left.. anyway, i bought about $1,000 dollars worth of fireworks to shoot off for the 4th.

i had sooo much sh%t, i didnt think i was gonna shoot anywhere near as much as i did, but, between me and 2 buddies, we shot off like 85% of it.. literally for an hour and a half we were shooting non stop, sometimes 3 or 4 heavy mortars at once, without a break.

I bought some and then realized that where we live sucks for lighting them off. We're on a corner with no back yard and our side yards don't have a good place so we were stuck out front and too many cars drive by. After a close call with morons in a car that stopped just feet from the fireworks that almost got hit with them I had to shut it down. I'm giving my stuff away to someone that wants to have fun farther back in the neighborhood.

Again, good for you. If you have the cash to spend and want to blow it out, do so and have a blast, literally and figuratively.

thanks to the australian royal commission our youngest son has woke up.

we received a e-mail from him tonight where he apologized to us for shunning us all these years, how bad he felt for doing this.

looking back on my two decades as a jehovah’s witness, i’ve come to realize how the constant theme of endurance is playing a detrimental role on the individual's psyche.. jehovah’s witnesses have become far too good at keeping going.

they’re experts at surrendering to the demands of the watchtower, living up to what’s expected of them, and getting on with the priorities that those in power have defined and imposed upon them.

they keep showing up, presenting themselves a dutiful pioneer or ministerial servant.

The elephant on the street

as a contractor i travel around for my job, i was stopped this morning to buy some milk at a store in a small village i guess and as i turned a corner i saw 2 elders i know personally manning a cart in the cold outside the store with not a soul in sight and an unlikely place for much traffic even though it was outside a country store.

1 elder is my brother in laws father and the other was in my old cong when i left, i said hello, talked about the weather and general chit chat and was my usual self, they were pleasant also but nothing was mentioned to me about anything spiritual etc.

i know they will be aware of some of my reasons for leaving (the few that i talked about initially before shutting my trap) but they were unwilling to engage in saving my life with their work!

No use trying to save someone that clearly is a devil worshiping apostate, right? It is funny how selective they are in trying to save people. Some might say bloodguilty. ;)

I don't care about carpentry and do enjoy a nice botanical garden yet I'm somehow not gay. Imagine that. I have a feeling that this thread is more about latent trolling than sincere questioning. Sometimes former dubs leave the cult but the views of the cult toward certain people may stick with them.

It must have been incredibly difficult to grow up gay on the cult. My next podcast is actually about that. An effeminate male may be gay, others may not, still others just have a fucked up view of masculinity.

So, I did a thing ... Shunned VIDcast #1 - Secrets - Jehovah's Witnesses and Cult Life

alright, many of you know me from the this jw life and shunned podcasts along with my inane ramblings on here.

i just made my first video and put myself out there on youtube along with my podcast episodes that are on there now.

i put my podcast audio up on there as videos and new people are subscribing and finding it through that.

Thanks ladies and gents. I hope that by doing these videos I can help more people in that way too and draw in more listeners to the podcast. Maybe encourage someone else to jump in with my own low quality and lowered expectations, lol. I need to do something to make the audio clearer, a project for the next video, but my first podcast episodes weren't my best and still had an impact. It's all a learning process but just putting myself out there was probably the biggest hurdle.
