My sad start to the day.

to all you animal lovers out there.. i awoke this morning to find that my dog had passed away during the night.. he was a golden retriever cross and the baby of the family.

he loved the kids and would lie down so my 2 year old could sit and lie on him.. he dug out of the back yard and got into my gardening stuff.

he ate half a box of snail bait.. i'm feeling really guilty, sould not have left it out.

Thinking about going to the District Convention!

with all the talk about how awful the convention is i am thinking about going this weekend in fort worth just for kicks and giggles... and to record the talks.

does anyone local to the dfw are have a digital recorder that can record up to eight hours of voice?

i'd like to try to avoid buying one.

some of you are aware that i was born at trebah gardens http://www.trebah-garden.co.uk , well these pictures are taken just up the river a little bit from helford passage last night upon my evening walk, about the same time as this, i hope you all enjoy them, there quite a few, of which will be following in sections at a time.

as per usual click on any image to enlarge, they only take a moment or so to load.

i hope you all enjoy them.. think of me in a week or two's time on my boat, when i'm on the water, i'll be able to get much better pictures for you all..

July WT. Contradicts Itself Regarding "Unbelievers"

i was reading the july wt.

at my mother's yesterday and the qfr asked about who should and shouldn't be viewed as an "unbeliever".

if a person was attending meetings and might even be an "unbaptized publisher" they should not be considered an "unbeliever".

where are you in most cases when you particpate on this site.. i am usually at work although occassionaly my wife and i will access from home.

My Grandad died this morning

the last grandparent i had died this morning.. .

he was such a great guy.

was in the raf in wwii and went to iraq and other places but didn't really talk much about the war.

Do you make active witnesses uncomfortable?

this weekend my wife and i visited with another couple, who although they are inactive, they also invited active witinesses to the their home along with us.

we knew most of the people there and they are aware that we are inactive - no big deal.

however there was one brother who did not know that were are inactive.

for you parents, if your child had decided to change their name or go by another name would this have hurt your feelings at all?

i know most parents carefully select a fitting name or sometimes a sentimental name for their child.

would it bother you?
