Although the elders in your congregation will claim you are now forgiven, they will continue to hold your Df'g against you for years and decades to come, especially if your husband was well-liked or an MS/Elder. As long as any of the same elders that were involved with your 'case' remain in the congregation, they will inform any new elders to your past indiscretion as you will be considered damaged and untrustworthy. It's worse for women than men, especially those men that strive to become MSs and Elders after they are reinstated.

Whatever happened with WT televising the AM proceedings to certain locations and inviting only a select few to attend?
I recall my R&F relations that were invited 3 or 4 years ago, seemed to consider themselves superior over those who were not favoured with an invite.

Leaving out our personal bias against WT and the JW religion, there was nothing newsworthy here. This was a routine follow-up by 2 JWs regarding the name and address for a potentially interested person. JWs will use any leads to pursue a potential study.
The "brouhaha" was caused by the mother using video footage she created and provided to the TV station.
The daughter was not interviewed for her side so anything she supposedly said is hearsay. Maybe the girl was curious and accepted a tact from a JW cart, or asked a JW friend at school about JW beliefs. As suggested, perhaps her name and address were submitted to JW_org by someone else as a prank.
When the mother told the daughter a man was at the door asking for her by name to talk about the bible, the girl may not have known anyone by that description if she did not speak with him earlier. Perhaps the initial discussion with JWs, if there was any, had occurred sometime prior and the girl didn't give it any further thought.
If a similar situation occurred with someone asking for my minor daughter but didn't identify who they are, I would have denied access as I believe the mother did initially. I would not have initially involved police or TV news, and I would not pursue the guy after the fact. If the situation was repeated, I would likely become more assertive that the action would not be further tolerated, and if there was a third incident, police would become involved.
Perhaps the mother submitted this nonstory to the TV station as a means for 15-minutes of fame. While her concerns may have seemed somewhat reasonable initially, once she pursued the JW to his place of worship to confront him, she then came across as unbalanced. What did she expect would occur as a result of that confrontation?

Because of the audio redactions, I'm not certain if there may have been an initial discussion between the 15 yo and the female JW. If so, then it would have been most appropriate if the female JW performed the follow-up call with the girl, not the male JW.
Security cameras and video doorbells are now common, so anyone passing by or approaching any home needs to anticipate they may be recorded.
The mother had a right to ask the identity and purpose for anyone asking to speak with any member of her family and she had a right to decline permission for her minor daughter, especially when the callers (plural) refused to identify who they are and the group they represent when specifically asked.
JWs have an obligation to identify themselves and the purpose of why they are calling. They are attending people's homes, the home occupant is not attending a clearly marked JW facility. A homeowner knowing they are JWs cannot be assured. While the male JW stated their visit was to share 'wonderful thoughts from the bible', they inappropriately did not state they are JWs or which congregation they represent.
Once permission was denied, we can assume the JWs departed peacefully and without incident or action. As all they did was simply to ask to speak with the girl and there was no suspected sinister or illegal purpose, there was no cause for the mother to involve police or TV news.
The woman obviously somehow learned they are JWs and the congregation as she later inappropriately and aggressively confronted the male JW within the KH's parking lot.
While pushing away the camera pointed at him may have been inappropriate for the JW, it was also inappropriate to unexpectedly have a camera shoved at him. He was likely taken off-guard by the aggressive actions taken the woman that accosted him while he was attending his place of worship.
Although we might assume it was the woman who is involving the police, perhaps it was the JW that called police due to the woman's actions.

@ Vidiot
It is often claimed, there is no such thing as bad press. Any situation is always spun by WT to be positive for the organization.
When things are going well, that shows Jehovah's approval.
When things are a disaster or they lose in court, that is spun as 'the persecution we are receiving from Satan, just proves we are God's true religion. Jehovah will not tolerate this situation for much longer.' The fact that other religions experience similar trials and tribulations, is ignored.
If this was truly God's organization, since he is the God of love, I would expect his organization would set the lead for others to follow in appropriately dealing with CSA matters. Instead, WT is becoming the religion others point to as the pitiful example of what not to do.
The final episode of Leah Remini's Scientology series was broadcast last week. The topic was Scientology policies which prevent reporting of sexual abuse. JWs were again briefly mentioned by the Psychologist that participated in that episode.

ARROGANT is a very appropriate word to describe the wt organization.
When a group (GB) claim to be chosen and appointed by God as his earthly representative, then the attitude of that group's members will be, EVERYONE on earth, not only JWs, is accountable to them, including earthly courts of law.
While God may allow testing by fire, they fully expect they will be ultimately victorious in the highest court to display to the nations, God approves and supports them and their organization.
Of course,
ifwhen they lose, will never indicate they do not have God's support and blessing. -

As far as listening in, I agree with Simon regarding cell phones. If you have a mobile phone, tablet or computer, you already have a device with an ability to listen in just as much as Google Home, Amazon Alexa or the Apple equivalent. There are now light switches, thermostats, microwaves, refrigerators, Sonos speakers, vehicles etc, that come equipped with digital voice assistants built-in.

Welcome to the forum BNG,
You think your situation is unique but in actuality, it's all been done before. Regardless of the details on how you met, in the end, you are a regular person interested in in a relationship with a cult member. If you are truly at ease with the situation, you would not be asking advice and feedback from strangers on the internet.
To a JW, Jehovah (actually, the organization and its Governing Body) take precedence over anything or anyone. Even if you become a JW, you will always take a lower position regardless of his claims.
While he may tell you he would never attempt to convert you, if he remains a JW, he is expected and required to do so. JW men are considered 'Head' of the family and he will be expected to have his family in subjection to his authority.
Even if you do not join the religion, do not expect celebrations most people look forward to (Christmas, Birthdays, Valentines, Mother's Day ...) will be happy occasions. While you may wish to celebrate, decorate, entertain, visit family and give gifts and cards, he will likely have no part of it and may even disallow seasonal decorations in or around HIS home.
Upon marriage, he will most likely act as your power of attorney if you should be injured and not able to speak for yourself. As JWs believe blood transfusions are wrong, he will most likely oppose you receiving a blood transfusion even if your Drs state you will die as a result.
Many people raised as JWs will stop attending and may lead a life which is contrary to JW requirements. While they may assure their partner they will never return to it, unless the person recognizes the religion is not the 'Truth', too often, they will return even if away for decades, particularly when there has been a life-changing event such as the birth of a child, death of a family member or life-threatening illness. Although they may appear to have left the cult, does not mean they no longer believe the cult's indoctrination. While you may think you can prove to him the teachings are not 'the truth', he may resent you for even making an attempt, stating you are being influenced by Satan or worse, apostates. Each JW must come to the realization that JWs do not have 'the truth' for themselves, but many never do as they are usually unwilling to even consider it.
Although you think his family are not as strict because they continue to associate with his brother, it could be his brother was never actually baptised into the religion and was therefore never technically a JW.
Just because his parents are aware of your existence, you really do not know what they have been told about you. Perhaps they were lead to believe you are interested in becoming a JW (the outcome will outweigh the method).
While JWs claim they are the only true Christian religion, their beliefs and practices prove otherwise. This and many other forums discuss the real truth and background about the JW religion, warts and all.
While probably not what you wish to hear, for your own benefit, please accept we understand how JWs think and we also recognize what is too likely to happen if you continue pursuing this relationship.

Three Billboards of anti jw message
by zeb ini saw a mention of this.

Are the 1st two billboards real?
The 2nd appears to be pro-JW, seemingly commissioned by WT, except no blue ORG logo is shown. Some parts of the photo appear clearer and more in-focus than other parts. I can't quite make-out the words below "Find Nearest".
The 1st billboard asks the question "WOULD THE ELDERS TELL YOU...", but the image shows a female with her mouth taped over to keep her quiet. As there are no female elders, the question does not relate to the image.
