  I lived in Friday Harbor, WA for a while, man what a real great little town but the hall there is such controling place I could not stand it.

  It seemed like that as a teenager I had my most erotic dreams when I slept during meetings, it was my only consolation for even being there other than the fact my dad kicked my arse out the door and into the station wagon.   What Did You Typically Donate To The Hall & Society?

  I only donated if my ex-wife twisted my arm. I felt that if its the true faith God would take care of the money.

  You would most certainly be at the very lest publicly reproved or disfellowshiped. I have gambled many times, but I don't give a molded Pizza Crust how they feel. I enjoyed ever min of it, I might suggest "Double Diamonds" three dollar slots. Shane

  my name is jaron, 19 years old, i'm from the netherlands, and in about a month i am going to start joining the jw's meetings and i'm kind of looking forward to become a jw.

  i can of course tell ya'll my entire spiritual story, but that would take an entire bookwork.

  in a nuttshell: my father is an ex-jw, my half-sis (from an earlier marriage from my dads) is one of those "special pioneers", and i am jewish (my mom is jewish).

  Hey Jaron ask the Elders if after you are dedicated if you can question the teaching or at lest some of and see what they say I am sure it will be negative even if just over a little thing. Jaron you can question it now but you just have to fully join and you will slam ducked it you can't or won't swallow some aspect all of them.

  Because they are afraid to question the High Mucky Mucks the (governing body) and that is called being "browbeat" and controlled which is commonly called in today's vernacular a CULT, and if you don't agree with this its because your knee deep in the goop of that CULT.   now i belong to the bible students, who won't kick your spiritual hiney for doing so, or shun you for dibbing and dabbing that stuff out of weekness.

  i was raised roman catholic but stopped going about 25 years ago.

  i was talking with someone i work with who is a jw and suggested i might look into it.

  so here i am.............

  Well here we go:

  As a Catholic you were not really much controled, but once you become a Witness's trust me they will become the KGB and give you hell if you step out of line and they will scare you with Armagedon to keep you in line; and you better keep some friends on the outside cause there may come a time when they may kick your hiney out of the trooth then you won't have no body.
