  As a young kid how did you invision Armagedon?

  as a kid i felt that jehovah would bring his big hand down from the sky and slap the hell out of the ground, and if i was under it then it would be real bad.

  the fact is i found it hard to camp outside and enjoy looking at the night sky with all of its stars, fearing the big old hand was going to slap the area around me at that very moment and ruin trees shrubs the fish we had caught our tent my dads truck, and us oh man everthing else too.

  this was a fairly frequent occurence amongst the brothers and sisters in my young dubby days.

  i was heaved out of the cinema on more than one occasion, generally by my mother who reckoned some things were just too much for my innocent young eyes and ears.

  Oh yes many times when I was young and single. One time I got up to walk out from a movie called "Barberella" with Jane Fonda, umm" anyway as I got up to leave my seat I seen in the dark my PO at the time.

  So that changed things a lot in my mind, and I started enjoying my young man hood. I love Jane Fonda to this day, she guided my midnight confessions from then on. I highly recommend this flick to all the glorious ones on this discussion board. Oh one more great movie that reminds me of the Jehovah's Witness cult is called "Equilibrium" its a must see. Shane

  Everyone destroyed at Armageddon? How So?

  i can't help but notice in almost every thread related to the subject, people mentioning who is or isn't going to be destroyed at armageddon.

  this is a flawed understanding of the entire concept of armageddon.

  scripture makes it clear that this is a war strictly against ungodly/antigodly entities (possibly some individuals).

  Who makes the WORST boss.....Male or Female??

  6 months ago i was promoted to ward manager in the hospital i work in, and despite all the stress that goes with working in healthcare (particularly the good ol nhs!

  ) i come home usually knackered but still pleased that this is the job/career path i have chosen.

  managing nurses brings its own headaches, and without wanting to sound sexist, it is sometimes difficult to work alongside a whole group of women and try to keep a happy ship with all the personalities that come into play.

  A lot of it, but alot of it is not; so what do we do? Well Willy we never stop useing our own brain power, never let any religion say we better get on the Ark of their salvation or die.

  Do you have to respond?

  i continually battle with my emotional feelings as the daughter of a devout jw and my beliefs as a reasonable educated individual.. problems arise when my mother makes some sort of contact with me via email and always has to put in some dig such as "since you have turned your back on jehovah's people" and then i get furious because if god does have people on earth i am sure the red cross volunteers would be on the list, not the jws i know.

  the statements she makes always irritate me and i sometimes choose to defend my beliefs, my morality, my truth vs her truth.

  i spend time writing not only factful but sometimes emotional charged testimony about what it means to be godly.. once i make my point it opens up a can of worms and i get bombarded with emails or magazines from her trying to make her point.

  Continue to love your mother, she may be havinng a hard time emotionaly and need to be kind to her.

  there have been many unsubstantiated reports that have been proven false on the 'net.

  I have learned more from the Internet than from any other sourse, on so many subjects that I have lost count. The Jehovah's Witness's leaders hate the Internet because it is informative more than the Awake and they can't stop the RF from useing it, their magazines eather scared the hell out of me or bored me to death. The mind was ment to think with out the Borg messing with the lights inside.
