(i'm so angry i'm shaking).

This is a case of CHILD ABUSE. That is what needs to be dealt with.
IMO, Ashi's Mother is just as guilty. She allows that kind of abuse to be metted out to her children. I don't care what he has done to her, she is an adult. She obviously has some serious emotional problems. I have no idea what the dynamics of their marriage, and at this point, I couldn't care less. How could she just allow her child being thrown down the stairs??? He could have died! Then she goes and works with the guy?? And I don't care about any lame "battered woman" excuse.That boy needs to be removed from that home! In california, it takes someone with police powers to do that. If Ashi goes to the police, he needs to make them aware of his record and that he has the potential of extreme violence. His wife was a witness to the violence. The police and the courts (unless they are complete morons) understand that even an abused child's first loyalty are to the parents.
I know it is going to be gut wrenching. However, not so gut wrenching than to be at this kids funeral.

Ashi,
It may be against your Mother's wishes to have him (any other kids?)
from the home, but you know, this is about YOUR BROTHER. Your Mother obivously cannot protect him, SO DO WHAT IS IN HIS BEST INTERESTS. Try to get him the heck out of there!I don't know what the laws are in your state, PLEASE contact the authorities, NOW.

The BESTEST present ever! (NOT)
by LDH inafter reading a few threads regarding the upcoming christmas season, i thought i'd post a funny story, and ask you to add to it.. if you've ever received a wacky present, or one you had to pretend that you liked, please post it.. about 5 years ago, when i first started celebrating christmas with hubby, i got a real shocker of a present.
a deep fryer.. now, hubby was *very* proud of himself.
you see, about three months prior to christmas we were going through costco (warehouse type store) when i noticed they had a nice little deep fryer.

I have been buying my own christmas presents for years. Usually, if we have the money, Mr Andee and I will decide what we would really like to have. Usually it's one big thing, each. A few years ago, I wanted a Kitchen Aid Heavy Duty mixer, a la Martha Stewart. I followed the store ads, and when I didn't think I could get it any cheaper, I went and bought it.
I was soooooooooo happy! I had been wanting one for years, and there was NO WAY I was going to leave it up to hubby to buy it! I didn't want to take a chance that he would get the wrong one. Not very romantic, I know. That is how we have been doing the Christmas thing for years. This way, I am NEVER disappointed.

by amazed injust nice to know that i'm not alone.
i'm truly amazed and had no idea unitil yesterday surfing on a whim i decided to confront my past.
it's a blessing for me and i feel another turning point in my life because now i have lots of people to talk to and i know now that i wasn't and i'm not going crazy and that it's not just me.
