i've never known an annointed person (let alone talk to them). i guess i've seen a few "annointed" people speak at conventions, but they were just loopy people that talked about the end and the FDS......

Anointed in JW's midst?
by Noumenon inin your time with jw's did you meet any of the 'anointed' ?.
i have met a number over the years, and they all seemed very normal, intelligent, balanced, loving people.
i've met a few obviously 'bogus' ones too.. my question is (atheists, agnostics, and god/bible basher please ignore and move on to another thread): what if there are genuinely anointed christians in jw's midst?

if they were being "persecuted", it was because of the devil and his demons.
if they got an ache or pain, it was because satan was trying to "discourage" them.......did you think the demons were trying to get you, too?

UN v Religion - The're at it again !!!
by Amazing inun proposal: i picked up a comment on another site about a supposed resolution that was to be introduced to the un on january 27th, 2004 that would effectively ban religion.
if this is true, then the jw leaders (governing buzzards) and their followers will have a prophetic field day!!!

i don't think they'll ban religion because of the sole fact of influence. religion has HUGE influences on european and asian countries. such as the vatican having a UN seat, then there's good ole George Dubya saying that whatever almighty God is going to bless and just everything. religion is a big tie-in to the UN and i don't think they could afford to drop them as NGO's

Similarities between Jehovahs Witnesses and Weathermen
by dustyb ini was thinking earlier today, and a weatherman and a jehovhahs witness is kinda similar.
they both try to predict the future.
for instance, the weatherman gives the 5 day forecast....but by the 3rd day, the chances of the weather actually being what they said is around 13% (give or take a few) and the 5th day shouldn't really even be listened to because the chances of accuracy are slim to none.. so lets look at the jehovahs' witnesses.

seriously, they masquerade as angels of light, with their dark chocolate minty taste (my personal satan being the thin mint ones) but in reality they are little fiendish wafers of fat and carbohydrates waiting to attack the weak defences of your tastebuds so they can defile the temple of your flesh.

Remember traveling to the conventions
by Strawberryfieldsforever ini remember years ago when my mom and i would travel great distances to the week long conventions.
we always had to travel with another sister whos husband was also "unbelieving".
anyway, her daughter and i would put the watchtower and awake mags in the back window to show everyone who we were.
