Lost Childhood -> PTSD -> Lost Adulthood
by one_ugly_time inwhen i read the title of the thread ?was your growth stunted because you were a jehovah?s witness?, i posted a version of the following while extremely emotional.
not taut, very loosely, as if it feels like a necklace.
you see, i am growing and the cord is getting taut now.

proof of a cosmic joke?
by zen nudist inthe name jesus is an english transliteration of iesus which is latin for iesous which is greek for yehoshua [joshua] which was a combination of yhvh+hosea, first given to hosea the son of nun, by moses to commerate the deliverance or salvation [meaning of hosea], by yhvh [the lord].. well in latin, lord is domino.
so the full meaning of jesus is---.
domino's delivers!

My story
by ChimChim ini was never baptised because i was to young, i was in it until i was 5 years old.
but it ruined my life and still is because my dad, nanny, grandfather, my step nanny, my aunt and uncle...all on my dads side of the family are still in it, so i get lectured alot about things that have to do with the "truth" or i hear him talking about and all i think it, "what a bunch of garbage.
he never really yells at me, i don't think he can because he barely ever see's me, i try to avoid going there as much as possible.

Are most people just plain stupid?
by logansrun inwhat an audacious question!
" wow, bradley -- how could you stoop to such levels?
do you consider most people as simple sleepwalkers through life not paying much attention to reason, logic, science, history and a desire to understand?

Esoteric Wisdom,Does it Exist?
by Blueblades inthe dictionary states:esoteric, intended for or understood by only a chosen few,as an inner group of disciples or initiates( said of ideas, literature, etc.
)beyond the understanding or knowledge of most people;abstruse, hard to understand.. a large percentage of the jehovah's witnesses believe that a certain,"aura of esoteric wisdom"is existent during the governing body sessions.they believe that an unusually high level, manifesting more than ordinary scriptual knowledge and spiritual wisdom give its pronouncements an importance above and beyond that of normally accorded words of imperfect men.. the fact that the average witness has only a misty idea of the way that the leadership arrives at its conclusions adds to the "aura of esoteric wisdom".. for those of us who have come to realize that esoteric wisdom does not exist with the governing body of the witnesses,my question to you is,does it exist at all,if so,who has it?.
blueblades,and the search continues.
