Real one, why do you fly into these 'gay' threads like a seagull, and crap your beliefs all over our screens? Just go to a gay bar, hook up and get it out of your system.

scooby, I feel empathy for you, you feel trapped. Only you can get yourself out of this trap. There is so much information available as to be overwhelming, but when you prove to yourself that the JW are false, the trap will dissapear. Awareness and knowledge are the keys to dissolving the trap of the 'Truth'. scooby, please take care of yourself, or you could end up crazy like realone. j/k

Now I can't see her as spinning, but instead going side to side, like she's swaying or something.

I first saw her as clockwise, but then looking down her body to her legs it suddenly flipped and it felt weird. For me it now shifts about every other rotation.

noticed that i'm seeing all these things that i didn't see before... like when the wt or revelaton book states something, or when the bible states something... i mean, i never noticed this many things before... before, i noticed only a few major doctrine issues.

but, now, i'm noticing things all the time.... i mean, i'm trying to take a break.

i'm trying to not pay attention... but, they are saying things that really piss me off and i'm wondering to myself, what the hell was wrong with me... how did i not notice it before???

I think you need a major break from it all. Here are some ideas. These are only for the reduction of stress, to let you decompress a little.

Go to a Spa and get a full body massage, with other addons like aromatherapy or a mud wrap. Pamper yourself and relax.

Go see or rent your idea of the craziest funniest movie and laugh your ass off. Get two movies, but still laugh your ass off, laugh till it hurts.

Go to the gym and burn off some of that stress, maybe even take a yoga class.

Find something to do that you enjoy, that you can do 'Zen' and just be present with not thinking or emotional churning. This could be anything from cooking, art, walking, or meditation.

Just for the sake of conversational understanding, could I oversimplify and say that "Pantheism is 'all things are god', 'the universe is god'? Wheras Panentheism, again to make an almost absurd oversimplification, the universe/multiverse is contained within god.

First off, I'd like to know if I have that understanding correct. Are there other simple ways that can be used to describe these beliefs (just so I can understand them)

For those who have these beliefs, what is the personal significance, what does it mean to you.

Personally, I am in my current belief system version 3.60. When I was a JW that was version 2.0 Version 1.0-? never had a chance as I was raised in the JW from age 7-8.

My current beliefs are Taoist, but my understnading of that philisophical framework is also changing over time. I want to understand the two mentioned P???theisms to plumb the depths of my own way.

a jw told me today that mazda miatas are the car of choice for gay men, and subarus are very popular among lesbians.

i asked him how many gay and lesbian folks he actually knew, and what the source for his information was.

he admitted that he didn't know any gays or lesbians, but that "a friend who works in an auto shop" had told him.

I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I must be confused.

LOL BFD, mine is dark green with tinted windows. My last one was also dark green with tinted windows and a 4 1/2 " lift and sexy smittybuilt running boards. Sadly it was totaled 2 years ago. I still mourn it. I used to have pics of it on my myspace.

I have heard the lesbians & suburus thingy before, I jdon't think its absolute, but I do see alot of suburu outbacks here with triangle or rainbow stickers, and they are always the green ones or sage green ones. The color thing is more the stereotype I think. My jeep Ch is green, I just like the color.

I love to see big macho trucks with gay stickers, its just so funny to observe others reactions to that. I think its cool to be anti-type.

to the "big truck small dick" comment, its funny but not always true.

Real One and Immorality

after going through real one's last posts and his favorite 'i'm only quoting scriptures' argument (regarding homosexuality), i wonder whether you agree on this one:.

Well I think it does answer the question. So, What is my moral authority? I don't know how to draw a box around it and point to it. I can't define it. "an it harm none, do what ye will" could be a close aproximate. I try not to be rigid and absolute about it, and the word "authority" strikes me as the opposite of that.

Do I obey it? I think I aswered that too. Yes, most of the time I follow it. if I don't, I learn the lessons from not following it.

The term "moral authority" to me also seems like something used to bash others on the head with, and I want to stay away from that.

I think we all naturally have a moral code, compass, but some choose to surender their power and responsibility to authority. I took mine back from the WTS, JWs, god, the bible: I am still exploring what my code is, I am content with that.

Oprah's new Book Club selection - A New Earth - anyone here participating?

about 10 days ago she announced that eckhart tolle's book a new earth is her latest book club selection.

tolle will be appearing with her on a live internet feed for 10 consecutive mondays starting march 3. this is a great opportunity for those who are looking for the ineffable "something" else that they find lacking in their usual pursuits...

this isn't the usual kind of book that she promotes.

I got it two nights ago, already half way through. It is not what I expected, and I am glad for that. I like it, to me it seems very Taoist, but easier to read than the Tao Te Ching. I can see why Fundy Christians would feel threatened by it, but I wonder how many of them have actually read it. I will be getting the Power Of Now next, but I'll stick to green tea as my botanical of choice.

Very interesting book, easy to read.
