by UNCLEAR inthis obviously is my first post, i actually feel like i may be sick but i felt compelled to post.
only if to just say hello.. my life has been anything but boring, pioneered for years, brought several family members into "the truth", and find myself unable to have studies anylonger because i feel unsure about the stand i have taken all these years.. i was previously married, my husband left the organization for various reason, we divorced and i recently remarried another brother, he is a wonderful man and husband, i care for him deeply we and had been friends for 15 years.
i also have a son from my first marriage who is 4, he is the love of my life, recently my son had an opertion that could require a blook transfusion and to be honest i could never deny him that.

Need help guys, please!!!
by brutusmaximus inmy wife and i got baptised at 16 which is now 21 years ago and we haven't been at the borg for 7/8 years but for some reason they still class you as a witness, weird!!.
anyway my sister in law is getting married (sept 06) and wanted my wife her sister to be a brides maid, she met the po he said read a 1984 wt and let me know what you think.
they read it and said they wanted her sister as bridesmaid so he said ok, no problem.

They read it and said they wanted her sister as bridesmaid so he said ok, no problem. So the next week they go out and buy dresses etc and get very excited about the whole thing. Then out of the blue we hear someone has said she can't be a brides maid she has birthdays and xmas so her "worldly lifestyle" is stopping her from doing it not us. It now turns out that she can't sign the register either. I am sooooooo angry, digusted, disgruntled, heart broken for my wife who is in deep despair (she only has one sister). The thing is I was my brothers best man 4 years ago (I had to fight my case but did it) my brothers wife had her sister who wasn't at the meetings and who was living with a guy unmarried.
So can you help me fight this please???????? Is there anything I can do/show that might make them think again?? I know what I want to do but could end up in prison which wouldn't be good for anyone.
Sorry for going on but any help would be greatly appreciated

and still associating with jws... have been baptised 23 years, that was at the tender age of 13 when i had absolutely no idea what i was doing.
i have always been considered a rebel...brought up in a family by a single parent, my two brothers are both elders, the younger being a regular pioneer, my sister a regular pioneer and serving in a foreign language congregation.

I like you took along time to leave as I didn't want to rock the boat or upset anyone. I pioneered was an MS but things just didn't fit so I left but it wasn't easy and my wife joined me soon after.
Believe it or not our lives have not fallen apart, our kids are not mental, instead we are thriving on the freedom from the borg which is great.
I wish you well and remember lifes a journey not a destination

I would recommend a visit to Scotland, truly the best place in the world if you like drinking and the outdoors. Been to Devon as well though went to the model village and Kents Cavern(?) which was cool.

What was your most humiliating point of being a jw?
by love11 inmine was when my mom signed me up to sit at a table at our local university.
we had to sit there and talk to students as they passed by our table.
a few people came up to start a conversation and i didn't even know what they were talking about.

People seeing me going to the hall or out in the FS, man I hated that.
Not getting to go to the school disco, so I made up a story that my eyes couldn't take the flashing lights, a very serious condition you know.
Not being able to go on school trips because people were bad
Just a few things, I could go on but like the Murphy's, I'm not bitter

the other day, my neice was put in the hospital for test , after having two seizures, she is 20 and has never had any medical problems at all.
i now know, that by doing that it seemed to take the burden of helplessness off of my shoulders.

He never won me the lotto, didn't make me 6 feet tall and didn't make me the best footballer in school so I gave up. Serioulsy though things happned to me that no one else saw and he never acted so why bother.
I talk to my wee dog and he listens to me.
