this is my oldest sons birthday.. i always did this little thing when they were tiny ... i would tell them about the day that they were born.
when they grew up i still called them and said remember what i was doing xx number of years ago?
then i would say something like it was such a nice day or starry night or whatever but it felt good.

My mum is still in the dubs but calls on the kids birthdays to say hi and that she is thinking about them, I'm sure she would like to join in but hey it's hard when you're brain belongs to someone else

for the second time in as many weeks i have left the lights on in the car and drained the battery.
the first time was technically my boyfriend's fault.
he drove to work and i dropped him off and went home, didn't realize the lights were on and well, there you go.

I have a dog, a wee border terrier called Angus who is the best, great nature wants to please and doesn't eat all that much. Also not many hairs either which is great

I know a couple who were putting off having kids due to waiting on the end but guess what she is pregnant (and good for them) guess they got bored waiting

i have recently been in fairly regular contact with a long - time jw friend who, despite my da status, decided to put our 25 - year long friendship before the shunning doctrine.
she has visited me, discreetly of course, several times, and has read on jwd and other sites when she has been here.
she recently watched some of the child abuse videos on silentlambs, and all she has seen has caused her to doubt the truth of the wts, after 45 years as a baptised jw, with many of those years spent regular pioneering.. it was the local dc a couple of weeks ago, and she only went for half a day, and missed the rest of the sessions, and she hasn't been attending all of the meetings lately either.

that's right... when you go visit the un building you are not allowed to bring any large bags with you, which includes a notebook computer bag, so they made me check the bag and they gave me a ticket so i could get it back later.. did you know that the 18 acres of the un facility is not us territory?
i was surprised to learn that it is "international territory" that does not belong to any country.. .
