Favourite Comedy Quotes
by LoveUniHateExams ini wanted to post a serious, profound quote in stillin's thread but my mind went blank and i'm pretty crap with serious quotes anyway, so i put a jokey quote from the red dwarf computer holly: .
it's better to have loved and lost than to have listened to an album by olivia newton-john.. when a bemused lister asks why, holly replies "because anything's better than listening to an album by olivia newton-john!".
this got me thinking, what are everyone's favourite comedy quotes?.

'Trumpfacts'
by LoveUniHateExams indonald trump has recently come out with a lot of nonsense - so what's new!
.
while it's good for his ideas to be countered and debunked in a serious manner, thus showing him up for what he is, i also think it's healthy to poke fun at him and his nonsense.. apparently, people have been tweeting so-called 'trumpfacts' in response to trump saying that parts of london are radicalized.. my favourites: "duran duran have become so radicalized they now call themselves koran koran" and "the capital is full of dangerous bearded radicals" beneath a photo of jeremy corbyn.. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3352296/the-queen-hijab-duran-duran-koran-koran-camels-streets-islamic-state-london-british-wits-create-trumpfacts-tycoon-s-dangerous-comments-radical-uk.html.. does anyone know any more trumpfacts?

Never Bring a Knife to a Drone Fight
by LoveUniHateExams inapparently, it's good news, everybody - mohammed emwazi (aka jihadi john) has been targeted by a us drone strike.
the location was in raqqa, syria, a few yards from isis hq, near a clock tower where crucifixions are carried out.
there are conflicting reports, some say he died instantly at 11:40pm yesterday, others say that he was badly injured and taken to a nearby hospital.. from what i've previously read about emwazi, he was apparently terrified of being targeted by drones - yesterday it seems his nightmare was made reality.

On the two Ali vs Liston fights ...
by LoveUniHateExams inclay's talent and mouth had finally got what he wanted: a shot at sonny liston's title.
months of needling and name-calling had paid off.
sonny was advertised as 31 years old but nobody, not even sonny or his mother, knew the date of birth.

Had any weird dreams recently?
by LoveUniHateExams inso, i'll go first.. i dreamt last night that i was still at uni, i said goodbye to one of my lecturers.
then ulrika jonsson (former weather girl, shooting stars captain, and swedish nymphomaniac) gave me a lift home in her car - wtf?!
she kept trying to change the cd whilst trying to drive (reaching on the floor, looking for a cd).

Just recovering from a 'Mormon Mind Melt' ...
by LoveUniHateExams ini was in town centre about an hour ago to buy a shirt and tie for an upcoming job interview when i was stopped by a youngish, clean cut american young man (20-ish) in a cheap suit.
my heart sank as i thought it was local jws.
to my slight relief, it was mormons!

Djokovic beat Federer again ... did anyone see it?
by LoveUniHateExams innovak djokovic beat roger federer to win the us open.
this is his 10th grand slam title and he's only 28. he seems to be a complete player, with great fitness and mental strength.
he has a good chance of equaling or even beating federer's haul of 17 grand slams.. as i don't have a tv license, i didn't see the match but kept up with play via the guardian's sports column.. did anyone see it?

How does the WTS view 'ancient humans' (i.e. fossils assigned to the genus Homo)?
by LoveUniHateExams inhaving read i love ttatt's thread about evidence for humans living more than 6,000 years ago, i responded by using neanderthals and homo ergaster as evidence.
.
this got me thinking about the wt's current view on 'cavemen' (), etc.. so, how does the wts view 'ancient humans'?
