Do you think of yourself as an apostate

many of the people on this site say that they are apostates.

but that is not the way i feel about myself.. i am not angry with the "witnesses" or the organisation, i don't feel that i wasted my life.

i just think that i was stupid to believe it for 30 years (well sort of believe it, i did have severe doubts on and off).

having read both of ray franz' books and more recently 'the gentile times reconsidered' by c. o jonsson you'd be forgiven for believing that losing the 607 b.c.e date for the destruction of jerusalem would end in disaster for the society.

sorry but i just don't think so.. i'm sure many of the long-time witnesses who know the history of the society would truly have problems but most of the dubs just don't care!

think about it, remember all those dubs you used to hang out with.

Well now that's something I won't be able to do ... just because I don't even remember the details of all those things 607 and all (was too young and not interested I guess for those stuffs to stick into my head), I for once don't feel to convince JW's about anything they are too damn programmed ... (they need to want to get there heads out of the sand - to want to live for real instead of expecting anything from God and by then from the Borg) ... I'm losing control with them, cause I just feel like to SLAP them at the end (I'm sorry) which is not a good idea of course ...

i'm coming up on my one year anniversary posting on this board, and wanted to say thanks to you all for everything i have learned here this past year.

you've definitely helped to make fading a little bit easier to take.

i was pretty lost when i first started posting here and this forum helped me figure out so many things and how to deal with the jws in my life.

When did you stop growing ?

it's seems that people can grow about until they are 25 (unless a sickness still make them grow).

i've stop growing at 12, i'm the same size since then 5'5'.

also they told me that anyway having a baby at 14 would had stop me growing anyway that i should have been taller !

ok my landlords daughter and her husband max live above us.

they are a really great family, very nice and cool.

anyway once in a while we have a good conversation with each other and a while ago i had told max about my family situation and a little counter-witnessing.

My Favorite Songs of 2004

every year since 1991 i have been making my own "mix-tape" (since 1998, my own "mix-tape" cd) of my favorite songs of the year.

i have just completed my cd for 2004. one of the real pleasures of doing this is finding the right track order to make the styles of the songs flow smoothly from one to another, while keeping some semblance of the chronological progression of the year.

i thought it might be interesting to post my list and see if anyone else has their own similar list for the past year:.

Could some-one please explain American football to me!

i get all that stuff about downs and 10yards, and about kicking the ball through the goals and all.

but, having never played gridiron/american football, there is one thing i just dont get everytime i watch the bleedin' game.

i have played australian football(aussie rules) and rugby league.

Ok so the standard for girls is about stop growing in between 12 to 16 and eventually a little bit more later (maybe related to our activities)

i was just in hippi's "i'm back" thread and he can't come up with a story.

the story can be about anything.

it can be true or completely made up.

When I was in Texas on Six's bike having a ride in town ... to have fun really playing with the bike I've stoped on a big Parking lot there was not a lot of cars there at all ... I saw a car on the lot which was driving quiet slowing (really not as usual) that catch my attention cause before to see it I've heard a big noise like a little crash ...

So this car was trying to park next to apparently another car now and kicked this one too kind of hard (as if it was impossible to park in knowing that there was lots of places available without any car around ... ... So I've though it's a kid having fun or what ??? ... ) ...

So I'm looking in a way to make sure the one who's in the car can see I do WATCH and wonder if I would have to be a witness or something in case of a big crash ... so the car went slowly backward - forward / backward forward ... knocked the same care again ... forward / backward forward again and then went very slowly somewhere where there was no car parked and stopped ... and ... a very very very old woman came out of it, acting like nothing happen, arranging her very hairbrushed white hair, walking very very very slow too ... to get into a fast-food

I thought it's time for anyone to take this car and her licence out of her hand ... Geeeeeeeeeez she's dangerous !!!
