Stuckinrut, I would play the same game with any who do that to me =)

i have words that irritate me and not always without reason.. my latest hate is the word: 'solutions' as used by so many businesses in their title these days.
y'know, 'something innane business solutions' and such balderdash.. i loathe that word now.
arrrrggghhhhhh!

this is a question i have been trying to answer.
at the branch visit yesterday, morris discussed eze.33,about ,how if we do not preach we are bloodguilty.
i would like very much people who are well informed on this topic to show me a thorough scriptual answer.
First question: Who was this word addressed to & when?
Second question: What is the context of this scripture?
Third question: Is there any irrefutable evidence that this scripture applies to our time?
Fourth question: Are we directly appointed by Jehovah to be watchmen as Ezekiel was? (Ezekiel 33: 7)
Fifth question: If this scripture were to apply to our time, would it not also mean that ALL Christians are bloodguilty as it is virtually impossible for us to preach to EVERYONE that we meet?
Sixth question: What are Christians in our day really commanded to do?
im sure you all have heard at one point or read that being an elder or ms isnt a position higher up but rather that you work under the congregation.. anthony morris just threw that out the window!
i have privileges in the congregation and even i was offended and felt bad for anyone who was 23 or older and not a ms!.
he goes on to tell this story of how a sister wanted to marry a brother and that anthony morris discouraged it because he was 23 and not an ms yet.
"We all know you have to suck up to the elders to be an MS. And if one of them has a personal vendetta then you will never be one"
Agreed. There has to be a concensus when the elders make appointments. So even if there are 10 elders & only 1 out of the 10 objects, you're screwed.
above is a quote from the close to jehovah book.. well, after last nights branch visit we can now add colorful socks, tight dress pants for men, yoga pants (he got the word very wrong), not being an ms by age 23, not working 8-5 fully at bethel etc.... that was just from two talks last night alone!

Matt 11: 30 - "my yoke is kindly, and my load is light"
The org has made this scripture a joke, no thanks to the countless man-made laws that they have imposed on the poor sheep!
the meeting this week is mind-blowing in the way it fuels the crippling "persecution complex" of witnesses!.
paragraph 1 set the theme with this gem:.
does it shock you that you can expect to face many tribulations before you gain the prize of everlasting life?
Agreed. It's really ridiculous that many blame Satan for problems which are self-inflicted in the first place!
i feel bad for my kids that their father puts the congregation above them.
it's so sad.
he's so busy with all this congregation stuff that they have just about no relationship.. .
I always strive to maintain balance in my life. Unfortunately, I see some in the cong who are so preoccupied in doing everything they can for "the truth" to the extent that their lives are filled with stress, families are neglected, relationships are affected, etc. resulting in the quality of their lives deteriorating badly. I just look at them & shake my head, thankful that I have the sense NOT to be in their situation

I was "reaching out" for years, only to be held back by man-made rules. It got to a point where the entire situation was just totally ridiculous! Anyway, the frustration that resulted from being held back led me to discover TTATT. If I had "progressed" & "advanced" as a result of being appointed, I might still be in a "bliss" of ignorance
the organization just bought a fire engine at walkill.
pretty slick.. .

Just??? That thread is dated more than a year ago...
i found this article interesting & just wanted to share.
after going through my teenage years trying to be the perfect jw, i realized that trying to live up to the standards imposed on me have been for worse & not for better.
i was feeling miserable, repressed, unfulfilled, with a great lack of self confidence & self esteem.
When I was a kid, I constantly had the unhealthy fear that if Armageddon were to come the next day, I would be destroyed together with all the evildoers for masturbating. Damn!
one of two things will happen.
i'll get disfellowshipped and never have to worry about being "told on" again for living a normal life, or; they won't do anything.. either way, it's freeing and i feel relieved... it will be sad if i get disfellowshipped but i've come to terms and made peace with it as much as can be expected.
it's a huge weight to have off.. was told on a week ago and haven't heard anything.
Play it cool. And remember, this could turn out to be a blessing in disguise
