Kwin, that was the most eloquent, thought provoking letter I have ever read. I had tears in my eyes and quite frankly, as a mother, if I were to receive that letter from someone in the congregation.....I'd pay attention. You have done the children of the members of that congregation and a number of other congregations (because believe me the recipients will share it with their friends) such a great service.

I cannot see anywhere in that letter where you would be DA'ing yourself. You are merely stating the why's and wherefore's of certain decisions you have made and quite frankly answered, before asked, the question of why aren't your wife and children at the meeting.

You are truly a gentleman and the world is a better place for having you in it. You have taken a personal tragedy and used your experiences to educate and save an untold number of children. You've also, through your sharing your experiences, tragedies and triumphs on this site, helped a number of us that have been quietly hiding our experiences of mental, physical and sexual abuse at the hands of members of the WTB&TS. For this, I as one victim thank you.
