No. The WT condemnation of gays always bothered me a great deal. Not that I had a lot of friends who were gay, but just on principal. There were some really sweet people who'd come into the store with their partners. They weren't the evil, preditory, sex fiends that the WTS made them out to be at all, but kind folks, many in committed, loving relationships, who just wanted to live a good life and not be judged...just like any of us. Glad I don't have to worry about what JWs think about this topic any more.

Bstndance-welcome to the board.
I guess I don't like people who are over the top,loud,and have to get what they feel or believe out by acting this way.Male ,female,gay ,or straight.It is tough because I don't know many gay people.I just wouldn't feel like I need to know about there gay life,just like I don't go into a group and say,"hey,i'm straight,will you still accept me.Be who you are and be confident,quietly.
I wouldn't dislike someone just because they were gay,but I don't believe all gay people act the same,and would depend on that for me.I am fairly comfortable with my masculinity,but I can't deny a gay thought has never run through my head,just out of curiosity,but I definatley know i'm straight.
I don't like the argument that because I don't want to be around a bunch of flamboyant people--Ex{gay pride parades,gay clubs,and men that act like women,Queer eye shows and such}that I am somehow gay or homophobic.
Also,what gave homosexuals the right to take the rainbow as there own little signal.Now if I have a rainbow ,people think i'm gay.Why couldn't they have come up with something unique or a symbol that is truly there own.
