Honestly, I've been saying Good Luck for a few years now just to kind of... I dont know if shock is the word but I guess its to ruffle them a little. Such are the silly silly fleas they strain out of their lentle soup.

So sorry for you, I would be so miserable. I see how fortunate I am to be able to get sick of it all and leave almost with no hassle at all. No kids in, no husband, my mom is in(but is just the place for her)

I think I would start dropping little subtle hints to your wife and maybe she will start thinking. At least that is one on your side, the most important one.

When 28, it was similar, but not the same as my family would not shun me. But I made many stands that were not very well taken(like holidays) and having 5 kids.........whew......I rocked the boat.

This is why IMO it is so important to be sure when you make a lifelong commitment to someone, that you love the core of the person, who they are inside..........because the outside things can change........be commited to that person. not all the exterior things.................the essence of who they are will manifest themselves in anything they do externally.

It would be no different if you were president of some big company and decided being a janitor would be better suited for you ............and your wife said...........she don't want to be married to a janitor. It is about the bond between man and woman, and I would think you are at a decision making place, a crossroads.....that may take a long time to deal with.

While I'm certain circumstances dictate your situation to a large degree, am I the only person who feels that it is somewhat disingenuous to continue on in such a fashion. I don't know your whole story, so maybe you've only recently arrived at your current views....but how long can you continue to condone a cult's teachings, in fact preach them, knowing the extent of the misery and destruction caused by the dogma it forces upon its adherents?

Your opening and or closing prayers must be very typical so as to not give away your true self. Example: We thank you Jehovah, bless the Governing Body, the Bethelites, Pioneers, the sick among us, help us to put into practice the things we have learned etc, etc,etc,you know what I mean.

I was in for 30 something years, the last three were nerve - wracking mentally and physically for me, as I served in many capacities, alongside CO's etc.Knew many of the Governing Body etc.
