I just read this entire thread and it sent chills down my spine. The power they have over people, over whole families, is amazing. Just imagine that someone who is not familiar with the JWs would read this thread. What would they think? Anyone should be able to walk away from any organization without consequences. If such is not possible, then it smells like restriction of freedom to me..
