So... Leebo, are you one of the Pharisees elders that behaved so inhumanely toward an ill fellow-being?

btw, another (quite lengthy) thread is asking whether we are watched here. I would say Leebo's "timely" entrance and clear ID of tepic answers that question...

Can't say I blame them for coming here. This place is a lot more interesting than any Watchtower I ever read, and there's much more to be learned.

    Walter,

Just being difficult i guess but.....

there isn't any more to learn here than they should already know - it's just that they choose not to act upon it or blindly follow the dictates of a man-made organisation. It certainly hasn't got anything to do with christian charity or conscience for that matter.

But I know what you mean!

    Cheers, Ozzie

*They* have to call themselves that, it's not like anybody else is going to. (Despite the shining examples of Christianity regularly displayed here by their adherents.) Dave

"So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."

It's a pity and not really surprising that the WTS has chosen to deem this verse of the Bible spurious. It sure seems like something Jesus would say to me.

    {{{Tepic and Mrs Tepic}}}
Welcome to the board. I hope you find healing here, despite a few WTS loyal legalists that hang about here. They sure don't listen at the meetings when they're told not to hang out on "apostate sites". Wonder how they think they're free of sin, when they're not following the dictates of the organisation that claims to be the only representation of God here on earth ?;)

Don't forget the fluff threads. They're pretty deep compared to most watchtowers.

Question: What about the innocent wife you left in your previous marriage, and the adultery you and your present "wife" engaged in the entire time you were married to your former wife

I feel really, really bad about all that I have told her so many times

It took many months for your present "wife" and yourself to scheme & plan your divorce , in which you were finally successful.

Not true. I could have done it in 2 months. It took many months for me to come to grips with making a very tough choice. There was no scheming. I did not know 'til the very end what I was going to do.

Your present "wife" who applied for reinstatement only 4 months after the two of you married

She is getting better mentally & she wants back in. If we learned anything at the last 2 weeks book study, it is that Jehovah forgives in a large way. David committed murder , yet I don't see where Jah required him to wait for forgiveness.

It seems to me that your present "wife" is suffering at the hands of her own actions,

That is true of us all in our sinful state. We deserve death. That is also true of you ,Leebo. If it were not for UNDESERVED kindness & the covering over by Jesus' shed blood you would not have a chance either.

the consequences of immoral conduct for many years.

This is good lawsuit material as it is pure untrue slander

How much TIME should it take for her to be reinstated? Certainly it would be at least the same amount of time it took for her to pry apart your former marriage.

    Certainly??????????? Where Is that written?

Since the three of you still reside in the same small town area, it would be quite logical to keep in mind the cleanliness and viewpoints of the congregation, since they keenly remember you sitting in the very kingdom hal in which you are now attending, with your innocent wife, your arm around her, treating her very affectionately in public, and perhaps in private too. Yet the very next month you show up with a different wife,

This 'different' wife is the wife of my youth at the KH we attended for many years. We are not talking about receiving some sort of prize for good conduct, just not being treated like something that should be thrown out in the garbage.

It is not difficult for anyone to figure out what happened.

    It is for me

As I understand it, she did give you the best sex of your life.

    I never told anybody that.

So you see friends, the COMPLETE truth is not always apparent in these brief and very biased descriptions of what happens when people are disfellowshipped.

I was not trying to give a description of what happens when people are disfellowshipped. I was simply venting about the elders deplorable conduct.

Sometimes it is truly discipline to restore the relationship between Jehovah and the disfellowshipped one that is boldly being resisted by the immoral parties involved.

Love will do more restoring than all this hatred & shunning ever will.

'Quick! bring him out a robe, the best one, and clothe him with it, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.

Good point . I had never noticed that before
