That the water at the beach is warm enough to swim in even though it is kinda gross looking and the surf is wimpy (I lived most of my live in CA)
It's green all year long
That I can afford a giant, brick house with a view (in CA couldn't buy a one bedroom condo for what I paid for this house )
That my kids can take their pick of any state University if they graduate in the top 10% of their class AND I can actually afford for them to go.
I wish it had some of the amazingly beautiful natural scenery of CA, but.... when I compare, TX wins hands down).
