Losing friendships can be sooo hurtful. The Organization uses emotional blackmail. They DO SUCK!

Who needs friends anyways.Human psycology is very strange,it very hard to find total comfort in someone.Theres almost always an angle to work.I have 2 close friends. My younger brother 20 yrs. old, laughs at the dubs with me all the time. Also my old girlfriend, now were like jerry and elaine, the dubs and my parents tried to kill that friendship, and it didn't work.

I'm content to "play the game" with almost everyone else I know.

I have to agree with this. I've "lost" a jw friend, whom I cared for very much, and it's been painful to get past but the more I learn about the organization, the less surprised I am as to the why's, and more saddened by the loss of such a wonderful person from my life.

I treasure the memories of the good times I had with some friends when I was a JW but I have move on. I no longer share the same interests of ideals as them and am totally opposed to their mentality and view of life.

Even if they wanted to socialise with me I would no longer feel comfortable in their restrictive and judgemental company. I would find them boring because they haven?t moved on but have stood still, frozen in a religious cult that stunts growth. It is one thing to remember the good times but another thing to want to try and recreate them.

No I don?t miss them anymore.

Yes, but when I speak with them or saw them, I prefer to miss them again

There are one or two people out there in dubbie land that I do miss. David Gardner, Bronson Novacek, Dezzy Stover and a handful of others.

Generally not. My best friend left at the same time I did and we are still close.

I have one other friend who I keep in contact with. Occassionally I think about "the others" and I even type in a name or two into google now and then to see what comes up. But generally, I don't miss them.

Very interesting forum name there "liquidsky", I noticed you are from Washington, does the name have anything to do with the band Queensryche?? I`m a HUGE fan!!

Holy cow Beachbender!!!! I saw Queensryche last week in concert!!! I love them. The show was awesome, Geoff's voice was so on it! PM me if you want to discuss.

I don't really miss them at all. The term 'JW Friend' is an oxy moron IMO. I was inactive for a while before I DA'ed and some guy I thought was a good friend would always be calling me up to do things, like a normal real friend would. I found out later from another guy that we both knew that he was counting time whenever we hung out. What a group of insincere morons.
