A spanking whilst under the age of about 11 is to me acceptable - a beating is not. I have heard parents trying to reason with young children and they just scream and shout even more. I truly believe that in certain circumstances a little slapp or spanking is acceptable - acros the legs or buttocks - never around the face or head. I spanked my children

Hey I tell my husband all the time that i've been naughty and I need a spanking.
Anyway, I put my kids in time out and spanking is a last resort. I try not to spank when I'm angry and if I do spank, its one or two swats on the but. My two year old has a time out chair but he does get a swat every now and then ....he is very "i'm gonna do what i want and you can't stop me" kind of boy. lol
I was spanked with the belt when i was a kid and i would never do that to my kids but I have threatened my 7 year old and believe me he stops whatever he is doing....lol
