I cried when Ross and Rachel got together at the end of friends
Which men / lads here cry when listening to music / watching films?

I've cried at
Manon de Source (when Yves Montand learns how awful he's been)
Fiddler on the Roof (not because it's inately sad but because my dad always cried at it)
The Railway Children (again, because my sister-in-law cries at it)
A.I. (but I was mad at allowing myself to be manipulated by Spielberg. Possibly because of the ressurection resonance)
Some pieces of classical music can make my eyes fill up but it's not crying and it's more due to feeling overwhelmed.

No music, but some movies. The only one I can remember is Step Mom. Now that I think back a ways, I remember a song,"When I fall In Love" that was in a movie with Natilie Wood. I can remember the scene where she was watching Gene Kelley and the song was playing. This was back in the 50s at a drive in theater and it stuck with me all these years. I can still see the scene when I hear that song. It was very sad and I almost cried.

Alright. The song/movie that get's me every time is the closing theme from the movie "Backdraft". (Which is also the opening theme of Iron Chef. But, I don't get emotional during Iron Chef.)

More movies than music, I'll tear up on. But one musical piece in particular, the soundtrack to Schindler's List. If I'm just sitting back really into the music and thinking of the images and events that go with the music, I'll tear up to that.

Special K
Eric Claptons..."Tears in heaven". A song he wrote for his son who died. ..and reminds me of my son as well.
Rod Stewarts version of "Have I told you lately". My husband dedicated the song to me when I was going through a particularly sad time and I felt like giving up.
Special K (not a lad either)

Beaches & the Color Purple ... oh, god - you should see me blub !!
Oh, and the bit in "The Patriot" where his little girl (who hadn't spoken) ran up to him crying saying "I love you daddy"
Shit, my eyes are watering now ...

From the time I was 12 until I was 31 ,I could not cry even if I wanted to. After leavng Bethel and my entire world was gone (the realization that it was all a hoax), depression set in and emotions came back, with a vengenance! I was an emotional wreck the first couple of years after that (circa 1995-99) Stupid stuff would make me get tear eyed.
I got better.
About the only thing guaranteed to make me tear up now is "Amazing Grace", the song not Mouthy but she is pretty amazing too. Even when my Dad died I was able to keep myself composed throughout the funeral even during the eulogy (tho my voice faltered a few times.) But when the bagpiper started playing amazing grace, I lost it.
Fare Thee Well by the Rankin Family can have a similar effect.
Of course AHEM, this is all theoretical right? It's not like us guys are really crying per se, its just ummm a mild irration of the eyeball which causes the tear ducts to release more fluid to cleanse the eye. That's not really crying...

music : Billy Joel : Good night Saigon - about boys killing and dying in Vietnam.
Movies: Anything with a child or an animal having a hard time of it or an adult coming to the rescue.
Such as when Hugh Grant in "About a boy" comes on stage to help out the kid who is trying to sing a song for his mom.
Jesus I'm pathetic.
