Preparing the sheeple for finally abandoning the significance of 1914

I think they'll phase out references to 1914 like they did with 1918, 1925, and 1975.

Soon there won't be any JWs left who will remember that they said anything of consequence about 1914.

That may seem hard for us to believe, but look at how many of the old teachings have disappeared to the point where current JWs aren't even aware of them.

If you does point it out to them, they tell you not to waste time focusing on something they no longer believe and move on.

The psychology the governing vermin use on the members is disgusting. Note the following:

God’s true worshipers are blessed with increasing light.

Here the leaders seek to indirectly implant the idea into member's mind that unless they accept this increased "light" they are not "true worshippers" and will not be "blessed." They also reinforce the false charlatan claim that God is indeed guiding them.

How excited Jehovah’s people were when the identity of the King of the North recently became much clearer!

Here again the same tactic is used using the keywords "Jehovah's people." Pointing out once again their charlatan claim that God is directing the organization.

In this 100th year since our enthroned King appointed the Governing Body to provide spiritual food, their role has continued to become more evident.

Here they reinforce once again the charlatan claim of them being appointed by Christ who in turn guides them and provides spiritual food. They use the indirect word of "evident" to bolster this false claim.

Whilst many sincere ones have looked back to specific dates to ascertain the fulfillment of prophecy, we now have a century of activity that provides overwhelming evidence that Jehovah is guiding His people by means of this Faithful Slave. Seeing similar activity, not dates, moved Andrew to exclaim to Peter: “We have found the Messiah(John 1:41)

Can anyone say 1975? Here they are doing it once again. Here they need to basically walk a trapeze with no aid so their wording has to be vague and confusing. They can't have members directly pointing the fingers at them so they say "many sincere ones" to kind of soften the blow and not exactly admit nor accept responsibility. At this point they are Gaslighting the members. By using the word "many" they are partially shifting the blame to the members all but wiping their hands clean of any date setting although not entirely. It's an ambiguous statement aimed at confusion not clarity because they know members won't dare ask for clarification anyhow. They finish the statement off by more or less saying "look at all the activity we completed these past 100 years doesn't that prove God is using us?" Again they invoke the divine guidance which is their strongest suit.

A thrilling Watchtower study article 100 Years of Faithfulnesshas been prepared in the August 2019 Study edition, available for download this week, explaining why our trust in the Faithful Slave need not rely upon mere archaeological dates which are sometimes disputed by critics; this article will be studied during October.

Here they use the word "thrilling" as in "You should be thrilled!" about this article and it's implications on your life! Then they use the word "trust" which if some forum members recall the March 2018 JW Broadcast Losch used that word over 100 times in his charlatan opening speech. Talk about repetition! Then they turn to gaslighting again by stating the ungrateful slave "need not rely upon mere archaeological dates." Yet this is exactly what they have always done! Again they are using gaslighting with confusion and misdirection. To try and show some sort of diving legitimacy they throw in a scripture for good measure.

Whilst some in the past have clung to dates such as 607 BCE, the Faithful Salve has always advised caution. Since 1963, the book All Scripture is Inspired of God and Beneficial cautioned about607 BCE: “The calculation for this period backward from the fall of Jerusalem to the time ofthe division of the kingdom after Solomon’s death presents many difficulties.” (si 285 par.7)

Here agactic Here again they attempt to gaslight members making them believe it was them that were setting dates and clinging to them. They are using similar language as the one used for the 1975 fiasco. They are basically telling the member "here look you see how in 1963 we warned you NOT TO PAY ATTENTION TO US REGARDING OUR 1914 DATE SETTING?" It's almost comical if it wasn't so sad.

Again, in 1988 when the Bible Encyclopedia Insight on the Scriptures presented a chart leading up to 607 BCE it clearly stated: “The chart is not intended to be viewed as an absolute chronology but, rather, as a suggested presentation of the reigns of the two kingdoms.”

Same tactic is used here as for the previous quote.

We are sure that all will be excited by the 100 years of activity presented in the August 2019 article and a special video to be aired in the May 2019 broadcast, knowing that ourconfidence in the Faithful Slave is not dependant on disputable dates, but on “the things we have seen and heard(Acts 4:20)."

Here they attempt to use the "we are the happiest people on earth" mentality by saying "We are sure that all will be excited" blah, blah, blah, blah. They are basically saying "be excited or else!" And of course they attempt to make the members feel special by saying how a "special video" will be aired in their 2019 broadcast blah, blah, blah. And again they attempt to spur confidence by more or less speaking for the members by saying "our confidence in the faithful slave" then they gaslight a bit more by saying they nor members should ever be "dependent on disputable dates." It's a real psych job from start to end.

April fool's for sure. But the fact that it fits in with their overall approach is telling.

Well there goes my theory! LOL!

I will say though the language is eerily similar to WTS speak with a few exceptions.

Transferring information could be the cause of misspellings and typos. Then again the use of "Whilst" is not very coming for the vermin in NY.

    Of course it's a punk.

The WT can never abandon 1914.

There's more evidence for 1914 than there is for gravity, electricity, and wind!

It looks like they are laying the groundwork for easing away from the whole concept of 1914

Yes without a doubt, this a complete change in their stance, from being dogmatic about being right, to know admitting that they are not sure about it.

However, I don't think they can completely get rid of it, because it undermines the date of 1919 which they are emphasizing here.

I suspect that if they truly got rid of it, it would be a bigger blow than the generation debacle. They are stuck.

It's a pretty good prank if 80% of those who read it at first think it is legitimate.

    Well done sir!

Encourage everyone to download the August 2019 Watchtower study article

A definite April fool prank. There are now no longer dated magazines, the WT would be Watchtower N0 4 1919.

Hats off to the writer though, it had my neck hairs standing on end.. for a minute.

Whilst some in the past have clung to dates such as 607 BCE, the Faithful Salve has always advised caution.

But the WT are the ONLY people who say 607 BCE is important!!! Nice April Fool for sure.
