If you take the numbers 144,000 and 12,000 literally, then you must also take the other words from Revelation 7 and14 literally:
- 12,000 from each of the tribes of Israel [7:4-8] (the enumeration includes both halves of the tribe of Joseph--Ephraim and Manasseh--but excludes the tribe of Dan)
- Who were not defiled with women; they were virgins [14:4]
- On whose lips was no deceit has been found [14:5]
So, those Anointed Witnesses of Jehovah must be male Jewish virgins who have never told a lie. It is evident that many space remain open!

the 144000 could not be the great crowd, but the 12 tribes that they come out of could could be. .
