It has been confirmed in the PNW that a number of congregations from different kingdom halls had this consolidation notice read to them this week. These other congregations were told they were part of the coming change. Going to have a bunch of angry old timers if their old cherished hall is sold for $$$ just to keep Mother funded in Warwick.

Will these halls/properties in the PNW sell quickly -- sounds like they empty them of members and activity and let them sit vacant until sold?

I bet they will empty the halls with the highest property value. Some of these halls are near rich neighborhoods. They could fit a multi million dollar home in place of one of these halls.

No letter read yet.. And this is the 17th. However, some news in Canada that halls are being sold and congregations being combined/cut starting from the west to the east... Seeing that Montreal has swallowed up 16 congregations, haven't heard how many were out west, but if anyone has numbers for BC, Sask, Manitoba, Alberta please make a note so a track can be kept.

The PNW has pretty high property values especially in Seattle and Vancouver. If they want cash it makes sense to go after these areas along with California and parts of the east coast and that’s what they have been doing.

Prices have been going down in Vancouver - probably better to unload now then at the end of 2019.

It is not as easy as that. They are not giving up newer, bigger buildings. but. obviously wt has given up on growth. why reduce seating capacity if they expect increase before the end as happened in pre 1975 times? It is going to be a squeeze, particularly for parking, no more walking to halls.

They must be in dire financial straights if they are resorting to these fire sales.

Properties in PNW (Seattle/California) alone should pad their pockets for awhile - WOW! I hope they're fire sales but in any event members should be livid.
