This REALLY is ridiculous, its unreal. According to JW's own rhetoric, the anointing is one of, if not the most, important doctrine to their beliefs. It is one of the biggest things deciding that it is the "last days". It is the "calling" of the "special" humans that will judge humanity themselves. These anointed are said to become immortal, and are providing the very knowledge to the organization.

Wouldn't we all agree that being anointed, is HUGE, in this religion. So, with that being said, how could, what arguably be the MOST IMPORTANT doctrine, have so much confusion around it? We know that this is a calling, and is done by Gods holy spirit itself. The importance cannot be overstated. Yet, God himself is making "mistakes", REALLY???

If its "holy spirit" that chooses, and anoints these persons, surely Gods same holy spirit could not allow ANY from falsely feeling they are anointed? Especially when it concerns this specific situation, in where the anointed are a HUGE part of EVERYTHING.

WTF, how is this "smoke n mirror" BS, not being called out more. This is insane. The ONLY earthly organization that God himself is using's, most important doctrine, is "tainted" by MENTALLY, and EMOTINALLY DISEASED people, seriously??

This is what these 7 charlatans have to offer, these days. This is the best they can come up with? The fact that they feel this "explanation" is satisfactory, just shows how dumbed down this religion has gotten. It actually makes sense since there are SOO MANY mentally disturbed people in the R&F, lol.

Biblically speaking, if you are not anointed, you are not a Christian.

So, if in fact, only the the memorial partners are born again, there are only 18,000 odd Christians in the WTS.

there might not have been hundreds of thousands of Christians from around 33CE but the following centuries Christianity spread at a huge rate clearly in the many millions both of Ray Franz' works especially ISoCF covers this growth in excellent detail and to think it was on the list of issues I had vocally objected to that lead to me being summoned to a judicial committee on a charge of apostasy because I did not think the "sealing" of the "little flock" took place in 1935! They quietly dropped this doctrine in recent years yet I was vocal in exposing it as being a lie and suffer the full consequences of a disfellowshiped person up to this very day, madness.

easiest way out for the watchtower is to now say the number 144000 is a symbolic number--meaning a complete number. then we can all join in the fun.

    time for nulite guys.

So, the mentally unbalanced ones only THINK that they can spiritually see what is going on in the spiritual realm, but the true anointed really CAN see the invisible things? OK, got it.

Well that's true, so rarther than the 18, 000 being mentally diseased, the rest of the 7,982,000 are just being bullied into not partaking.

@ Stealth, you said what I was going to say, the leadership are equally deluded into a belief of immortality, ruling the universe with Big J and Jesus. It's a kind of Napoleon complex where human deficiencies are compensated in the individual by them inhabiting the most glorious role possible.

JWs who join the cult (as opposed to born-ins) have already made the switch, by ditching reason as the basis for decision making, to faith. They now believe in a supernatural resolution to all of life's problems in a miraculous dream of paradise. This is how cults normally work.

The only significant JW membership increase is in the third world, in troubled places like the Congo. The newbies understand there are two classes; earthly and heavenly but have little idea of Watchtower history getting in the way of their destination choices. So it is not so far fetched for the newly converted (who probably thought they were going to heaven anyway) with poor education, poor reasoning skills and buckets of faith to see themselves as "super heroes" within the cult.

Just eat the cracker and drink the wine and know that you are special (just like the leaders!)
