So mental, and emotional problems may be the reason for rising numbers:

The number of partakers includes those who mistakenly think that they are anointed. Some who at one point started to partake of the emblems later stopped. Others may have mental or emotional problems that lead them to believe that they will rule with Christ in heaven. Therefore, the number of partakers does not accurately indicate the number of anointed ones left on earth. And the Bible does not state how many will be left at the time that the great tribulation begins

Looking at this new bunch of Governing Body (which got their anointings way pass the cut off date of 1935), then I conclude mental problems must be the main reason for this modern day batch of WT annointeds

The notable thing about religious organizations is that they are very reluctant to change doctrines abruptly why ?

Because it shows they weren't being guided by god's holy spirit after all but inherently by themselves.

There is a special unique image the organization are intentionally trying to uphold around itself.

Foil or break with that image and you risk losing adherents.

Others have raised this question before:

How many years before the annual Yearbook simply stops including the number of partakers altogether?

“sir82”: They dont want "nuts" to have a say in what everyone believes.

    That's never stopped them before!

    Ba-dum schussssssss.

Good one, “sir82”! Very astute observation.

    UnshackleTheChains: What a joke!

Now, THAT is the most accurate, poignant statement of this entire thread! Excellent observation. You know, when all is said and done, in the very final analysis, that statement of yours really does sum it all up. Bravo! My hat is off to you!

How does a JW know that he/she has a "heavenly hope" (TM) in the first place?

Does God speak to them and tell them this himself?

The GB has admitted that God does not communicate with them (WT February 17, 2017) so does God communicate with JWs to let them know whether they are destined for heaven although he does not communicate with the GB?
