    An interesting read:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/2994924.stm

    Some key bits:

60% of the sample had a very unfavourable, or fairly unfavourable attitude towards the American President.

... don't get upset just 'cause we don't like him !

Over half the sample felt that the US was wrong to invade Iraq - this included 81% of Russian respondents, and 63% of the French response.

... and we don't like what he does

Thirty-seven per cent thought it right to invade - including 54% of the UK response, 74% of the US response and 79% of the Israeli sample.

... shows where the support for the war came from - doing what the Israeli's want !

Asked who is the more dangerous to world peace and stability, the United States was rated higher than al-Qaeda by respondents in both Jordan (71%) and Indonesia (66%).

... most find America more worrying than al-Qaeda !

Attitudes towards America as a whole, however, were a lot more favourable, with 50% expressing fairly or very favourable views, as opposed to 40% of unfavourable views.

... see, we don't hate YOU.

The Discovery documentary "In Search of 9/11" goes into depth about the reasons that people have this feeling in the Arab and 3rd worlds about America. Did you ever take the time to watch it Simon?

Russian TV is of it's own propaganda. No more tanks to Saddam:( It's funny that attitude where horrid policy for decades are only shouldered on this President; The only one to make real and what will be lasting change in the Middle East. Maybe some people had a vested interest in keeping the conflict alive. The US had a vested interest in it ending.

Now, on to the Palistinian Civil war. Hamas will you be going?

Survey finds many Brits living in misery

Britons are more miserable and down-trodden than anyone previously dared believe, a new survey says today.

A quarter of the people surveyed fear a "hopeless future", one in three feels "downright miserable", and one in 10 thinks he or she would be better off dead.
The online survey by Internet site NetDoctor.co.uk, involved 400 men and women filling in 80 questions to assess their emotional health.

A quarter said life was unfair, and more than one in 10 felt they had been dealt a miserable lot which they were powerless to alter.

In the questions on work, one in four was unhappy in the job, while one in three felt exhausted, unappreciated or underpaid.

In relationships, a quarter were not satisfied with their sex lives
One in six people in relationships felt unhappy sometimes or often.

Some 10 per cent of men reported being emotionally, verbally or physically abused by their partners,(wusses) but for women the figure was only 6 per cent.

Psychotherapist and agony aunt Christine Webber, who carried out the survey, said: "It seems people's lives do not live up to their extremely high expectations and it is particularly worrying to see so many people dwelling on morbid thoughts, with a large proportion just plain exhausted by life."

Ahhhh the fallacy of AD Populum, the "people" feel or believe this way, so it must be right!

If this is the case, then why is the EU & UN adopting the Bush Doctrine on WMD and terrorism, and France sucking up to get our tourism back?

As so many of our *happy* friends from overseas have noted, when you are the biggest and the best, the lower the unhappy want to take you down.

    Just ask the Rock!

Probably one more reason to dislike us...we have wrestling. Too hard to do with a turban on, huh?
