That sharia court thing is no different than voluntary arbitration.

Do some research about how this 'voluntary' arbitration has been working out in the UK for the women.

ALSO when pressed for clarification, those people at islamic tribunal said if shariah conflicted with american law, shariah would be higher priority.

Muslims are like JW's, they believe in theocratic warfare, it's called Al-taqiyya.

At first it's voluntary as it's being set up all over the USA. Of coarse the women as is happening in UK will be abused and found out to not be in line with USA law.

And arbitration is not actually always voluntary. Many things you may purchase or buy will have a disclosure that you agree to arbitration by one selected by the one you purchased from if you have any lawsuit. (So if all cell phone companies have that clause, you either don't have a phone or forced to that, etc) So far the courts have upheld that even though that's forced they don't let people in those cases out of what was stated in those contracts.

Would you like to have a lawsuit or business dispute and find out it must be arbitrated according to shariah law?

Little by little will be more extreme and instances happening public. If it starts getting out of control then if try to remove it and outlaw it at that point, then it's jhad because they'll take that as a direct attack on their religion. (Muslims already claiming the mayor of irving as attacking their religion when in reality muslim/islam wasn't mentioned in the laws, it made it so that ANY religion/foreign type of law/court can't be practiced there in place of USA law.

EndofMysteries, your citations in your first post have no credibility; they are right wing hacks. The "sharia" law in question is a voluntary cultural sharia that is similar to what Orthodox Jews have in place concerning their rules on traditional family matters and divorce. No one is claiming that those Jews want Jewish laws enacted and imposed on non Jews.

I also am finding myself having to change my opinion on this.
Further reports from the school and police indicate that he was not quick to dispel their belief that it was supposed to look like a bomb.

"Ahmed told investigators it was a clock, but he was led away in handcuffs after he wouldn't say much more on the matter, Boyd said."

I was doing things like this (taking factory made devices apart) so I could relate to his story, but by 14 was not simply taking something apart and putting it in a case. This was in no way an "invention", probably why his Engineering teacher only said "nice" and didn't appear to defend him.

We are hyper sensitive to stupid school stories these days. here in Ga we had a kid suspended and arrested for having a child's nail clipper. I think that is where all the outrage comes from, schools are making so many stupid decision lately, one reasonable one may have slipped through.

I still don't see any evidence his father was involved or if this was a publicity stunt. I've just started reading some history of Irving, so I might yet find something. If you can point me to a source I would appreciate it. I'll save my outrage for another time, but I'm still not willing to think it was purposeful, but that maybe the police didn't over-react as much as we first thought.

Can you make a similar claim for all US Muslims re Sharia?

In England, we've had problems in places like Tower Hamlets, Luton and Bradford.

Two years ago in Tower Hamlets, two Muslims were arrested for putting up 'Sharia Zone' stickers - 'no alcohol, no homosexuality, no gambling and no miniskirts'. Thicker than any house brick, this same pair also harassed women, grabbed cans of alcohol from people's hands, and threatened to beat up gay people.

Hear, hear! The Israelis claim to be besieged but they steal land in the middle of Palestinian territory to colonize it with villages. Why do they insist on building their kibbutz's in the middle of their enemies territory?

Exactly, i have made this point numerous times. Who would want to live in a land surrounded by people who don't like you?

Other than the links i posted in the OP post about Irving, (first city where the mosque Ahmed and his family attend were practicing sharia law, his father a sharia activist, the battle w/ the Mayor on stopping sharia law from being practiced, and that area having an extremist problem (father killing two daughters in honor killing, free speech shooting, etc) what other information or sources do you want?

Some new information I've learned the past few days....

    1. His sister, the one who took the photo of him in the nasa shirt was suspended a couple years ago for a bomb threat to the school.

    2. His nasa shirt photo getting arrested was completely staged. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/09/18/if-it-walks-like-an-influence-operation/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social "The photograph of him in handcuffs that has gone viral, however, was not taken as he was escorted from the high school. Rather, it was staged after his father insisted at the police station that the cuffs remain on so his sister could take the picture." - then two days later his sister sends it to friends to spread it on twitter, etc and they were told to point out the nasa T shirt he was wearing.

It also said business matters as well.

The sharia law is as voluntary as are judicial committees and everybody shunning those they deem guilty.

If you look up sharia law in the UK which is what they are trying to do in the USA, they started allowing the same thing back in 1996. What are the results now???

http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/5512/sharia-courts-muslim-women Just google news for 'sharia law uk' to get an idea of what the future would be if allowed here. Not only are the women having their rights violated but many instances of them going beyond what they are allowed, handling criminal matters, etc.

Also since Islam has it's own version of theocratic warfare, allowed to lie to infidels, etc, it would be a long term plan to slowly getting full sharia implemented.

Is it coincidence that the only city in the USA the first where sharia was being practiced to also be where honor killing, free speech shooting nearby, etc? Coincidence or does allowing any form encourage extremism?

If it's true about his sister making a previous bomb threat and the photo being staged then it does really clinch the deal for me beyond doubt ... and makes Obama and the rest of the PC appeasement brigade look like complete idiots.

It would be totally reasonable for people to be cautious of the brother of a bomb-threatener, son of an extremist campaigner to be suspicious of someone with a "looks nothing like a clock but very like a bomb" contraption that he refuses to explain.
