Guess the overlapping generation concept is difficult for most to comprehend. David Spane does his best to explain it again. The cutoff date for this generation has now moved to 1992 (was once 1935), the year that Fred Franz died. Therefore now is not the time to become weary - the end is right around the corner.

Nice Chart Splash! I'd like to see if someone can make it in the style of this one:

    ps. Thanks for the sources.

    w14 1/15 p. 31 par. 15

We understand that in mentioning “this generation,” Jesus was referring to two groups of anointed Christians. The first group was on hand in 1914, and they readily discerned the sign of Christ’s presence in that year. Those who made up this group were not merely alive in 1914, but they were spirit-anointed as sons of God in or before that year.

    w14 1/15 p. 31 par. 16

16 The second group included in “this generation” are anointed contemporaries of the first group. They were not simply alive during the lifetime of those in the first group, but they were anointed with holy spirit during the time that those of the first group were still on earth. Thus, not every anointed person today is included in “this generation” of whom Jesus spoke. Today, those in this second group are themselves advancing in years.

That would bring us nicely to a 1975 style crescendo in 2034 and then a big let down with a 1976 style reorganizing at HQ like in the days of Knorr/Franz and the GB usurpers gang. Maybe a charismatic new leader/womanizer/boozer like Joe Rutherford will take over for the GB 2.0 become the official JW.0rg webmaster and declare a new overlap on the overlapping continuum.

Charts, graphs, numbers, bolded type, footnotes = prophetic speculation. Seven plus generations on from the 1870s, the bamboozling legacy of Chuck Russell lives on with jw.org.

'Religion is a snare and a racket' to quote Russell's successor and 'There's a sucker born every minute' to quote the worldly Will Rogers. Both truevobservstions across the generations.

Right now untold thousands of little JWs are being conceived in the four corners of this globe. They will be well into their 20s and 30s mindlessly taking in future modifications of the impressive parade of stupid charts, graphs, numbers, bolded type and footnotes.

JW.org ensures the rot has well and truly set in. Roll on, Daddy.

Like drowning rats all at sea, they are happy to find they have been thrown a doctrinal lifebelt now the 1914 generation ship has sunk below the waves.

Illusions and false promises; that's all JWs need for a happy life.
