God clearly spoke and told William Miller Jonas Wendell C.T. Russell Joseph Rutherford Freddy Franz The Governing Body that Jesus' Second Coming Armageddon was happening in 1844 1873 1874 1914 1915 1917 1925 1942 1975 within one generation of 1914 the 20th Century within one overlapping generation of 1914.

Really. You just gotta keep up and believe.

    Russ Cline quoted-

    cancers have disappeared

I remember reading a blog of an oncologist (a cancer specialist) who said the average person develops a cancerous cell three times a day, but the immune system quickly detects the aberrent cell(s) and contains/eliminates them, all without the person being aware that technically, they "had" cancer.

Of course, as this article shows, even full-blown diagnosed cancer will go into spontaneous remission.

BTW, God is not answering his phone when he's called by scientists requesting His assistance to help develop treatments; it's only kicking over to voice mail, and despite leaving MANY messages, He's not returning their calls.

God now speaks through His Son.

Christ has not been silent at all. He speaks. His sheep hear His voice.

Unfortunately, man has also not changed... in his lack of faith, and his mocking of those who hear Christ. And really, there is no need to mock. Because one can TEST to see if someone is hearing from Christ or not. Test the 'inspired expression' against Christ if you can also hear Him, against love, and against what IS written. Test the message... not the one sharing the message... to see if what has been spoken is from God, or not.

In any case, certainly, God is not silent. He speaks through His Son.

The natural language of god is silence. Everthing else is just a bad translation.

As far as god speaking to us........... all your hearing are your own thoughts. God is a reflection of you, your not a reflection of god.

Oh... as for why some/many do not hear Him?

    - no faith in the Spirit

    - fear... of hearing Him and the ridicule (or worse) that will follow; so that they do not want to hear to begin with

    - ignorance... religious leaders do not teach that one might hear and follow Christ alone... and so some would not even think of listening... or they dismiss His 'whisper' as their own voice, or as something that just 'came to them'

    - some do not want to hear WHAT He has to say; the Truth, and so they do not hear at all, but listen to those who tell them what they want to hear instead...

    - some do not believe that He is even alive (or exists), and so have no faith in Him TO hear him, or understand that it might be Him speaking

    - some are simply not his sheep (at least not at this time, and so listen to other voices: men, religion, scholars, etc)

Christ does not force Himself upon people (with rare exceptions such as Paul). Those who want to hear Him... will come TO Him... seeking, knocking. So that once again, something being down out of love for us... due to our own wishes, fear, limitations... is misunderstood and turned into something else.

Or the simpler answer: it's a made up story.

The same reason we haven't heard from Zeus or Apollo and Mercury hasn't dropped off any new-fire lately.

    ****After 2000 years nada ********

That's what makes Preterism in its many forms of escathology more believable. Humanity is waiting for the inevitable decay of the universe, in the mean time New Heavens and New Earth have already been established. 2 Peter 3:1-18, Revelation 22:14-15

Genesis in my view is a metaphor, so I don’t think God ever spoke to a metaphor, but that does not mean there isn’t a God. There is some force in the world that seems to have intelligence many people experience and that won’t stop or go away, ever! For some who have not experienced it the reaction is rejection of its possibility, despite the fact that some known to them whom they also trust will have experienced it.

To reject a bearded man on a cloud is fine but there are some very good reasons why the idea of a God is philosophically no harder to believe for a rational person than ideas that essentially say that accidents cause everything, including the accident itself. i.e nothing, then big bag that caused big bang ect ect. Eventually one has to accept that cause and effect has it limits to rationally explain cause and effect, unless of course it doesn’t have a beginning and is infinite.

Most don’t have time to consider these issues but then there is this mysterious force in the world. Another issue is of course the con men and women out there who fake such things. Their existence doesn’t mean the force isn’t real though, and it isn’t an argument that it isn’t either.

That's precisely the point I was making to my wife when I told her about the Klines and why my BS meter was pegging big time when I heard them three preach. Let's not forget that God was also speaking to Harold Camping when he made (and revised) his end of the world predictions. Yet, if you question them, you can be labeled as guilty of committing the unpardonable sin for after all who are you to question Holy Spirit?

    Yes, absolutely.

False Christs, false prophets, wolves, etc... they are everywhere... and that is why we are told to test the inspired expressions; hold them up to the light, who is Christ.

NOT just take someone's word for it.

    Yes, big red flag... this.
