Do You Regard President Obama In The Same Way As You Did BEFORE The Election?

    Yup.

It hardly matters which puppet we vote for anymore. They're all liars in the end.

VIII - Yes, he had a two year blank check. But he didn't have any campaign promises (aka, hot air) that he could accomplish in the real world. He mostly spent his time whining about Bush but then left the Bush programs in place. The things he attempted to do for his $pecial interest$, unions, wall street and all the other lobbyists failed miserably or never got off the the ground, shovel ready, Solendra, really the laundry list goes on and on.

Now that he has lost the house he has a fresh scapegoat for his impotence in solving real issues.

You must be joking. He was a scumbag then and he's a scumbag now. Only now he's a scumbag wih all kinds of power.

I despise that man. He's the most dangerous President in my lifetime and Truman was President when I was born, so I've lived through a number of them.

Another clueless one posted this nonsense.

: I just have no idea how this guy gets the blame. Socialism? Please. The socialist countries (scandinavian set), are all the places with the highest quality of life index in the world.

You conveniently forget to mention a few more socialist Countries which don't exactly fit your model: the Soviet Union, North Korea, Cuba, China and a whole whole bunch of South American Countires which suffocated under socialism and which now prosper under not-Socialism. Scandanavia in toto has less population than California, which is only ONE of our States. Norway has 5,000,000 people whch is a little more than 1/2 of that of New York City, only ONE if cur cities. Your numbers are useless in that context.

Socialism might work well with say, 5,000,000 people. Maybe. it doesn't work well with 500,000,000 people, or in the case of China, which has effectively eliminated it, in the case of 2,000,000,000 people.

Designs, sure Congress and its staff CAN availe themselves of the exchanges. Why should they? Obama just gave them a free ride.

Problem Addict: It is my understanding that if your employees buy their insurance on the exchanges your business will be paying fees because what you're giving them is inadequate or too expensive. And how long are we going to be hearing about W? Did President Obama think the job was going to be easy?

Harry Truman was a different kind of President. He probably made as many, or more important decisions regarding our nation's history as any of the other 42 Presidents preceding him. However, a measure of his greatness may rest on what he did after he left the White House.

The only asset he had when he died was the house he lived in, which was in Independence Missouri . His wife had inherited the house from her mother and father and other than their years in the White House, they lived their entire lives there.

When he retired from office in 1952 his income was a U.S. Army pension reported to have been $13,507.72 a year. Congress, noting that he was paying for his stamps and personally licking them, granted him an 'allowance' and, later, a retroactive pension of $25,000 per year.

After President Eisenhower was inaugurated, Harry and Bess drove home to Missouri by themselves. There was no Secret Service following them.

When offered corporate positions at large salaries, he declined, stating, "You don't want me. You want the office of the President, and that doesn't belong to me.. It belongs to the American people and it's not for sale."

Even later, on May 6, 1971, when Congress was preparing to award him the Medal of Honor on his 87th birthday, he refused to accept it, writing, "I don't consider that I have done anything which should be the reason for any award, Congressional or otherwise."

As president he paid for all of his own travel expenses and food.

Modern politicians have found a new level of success in cashing in on the Presidency, resulting in untold wealth. Today, many in Congress also have found a way to become quite wealthy while enjoying the fruits of their offices. Political offices are now for sale.

Good old Harry Truman was correct when he observed,

"My choices in life were either to be a piano player in a whore house or a politician. And to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference!"

I say dig him up and clone him!

Actually the presidents who scared me the most were Reagan and the two Bushes.

Interesting. The three most recent presidents who stood up to foreign enemies with actions, not ass kissing.
