  One should never under estimate what a young inexperienced dictator will do that has had his ego hurt and bruised.

  The most important part to dictators like this is their own perceived image of themselves and the power they wield over

  their submissive population.

  North Korea is pretty much on its own as far as posing aggression onto the US or South Korea, even China isn't much backing this little guy.

  He may start some kind of military aggression onto the South just to create a better trading pact, because there has been trade

  restrictions placed on North Korea for some time now, in both imports and exports, a slight possibility by my own assertion.

  I think N Korea will attack S Korea like in the past, not attack the U.S. Even S. Korea is not bothered by all the talk, because this has been heard before. But this time S. Korea says they will return an attack if N. Korea attacks them. So maybe it can grow.

  Did any of you see the movie Olympus Has Fallen? That's about N. Koreans taking the U.S. president hostage and demanding a withdrawal of troops from Korea in exchange for the president's life.

  Not far into the Iraq war, I remember seeing some little Iraqi sociopath on the news fairly regularly. I think his name was Al-Sadr. He looked very impressed with himself that he was actually getting the attention of the American news media and was being seen on U. S. television. He was trying to seem threatening as well, but I think he's all but forgotten now.

  I also agree with what Terry said. The boy who is at the top of the N. Korean food chain loves all the attention he's getting. There's no telling what he might do, but he'll most likely hurt his own people more than anyone else, as usual.

  About 8 weeks ago, the NK gov released a video of a missile being fired from a satellite into New York. In my opinion, that was the start of it getting serious and this won't end well..... You can't threaten world powers like that when you own nukes.

  Kim Jong Un was educated in Europe, he got one high school grade. He spent his days playing video games. war games. He is a spoilt little boy who has always got what he wants and right now he wants to play 'games' for real.

  In the last few years NK has sunk a battleship, shelled an Island and test fired rockets at Japan. They don't give a crap about playing safe, they are pushing the limits. The country is in turmoil, it is not thriving, it is barely surviving. A few months ago reports broke that parents were eating their dead children due to starvation. Now aid and food has been reduced due to the nuke testing.

  The point being, there is not much to lose for the country. From birth children are taught to hate and fear Americans, it is literally part of their curriculum. we call idiots 'douchebags' they call people they dont like 'american'.... its not good. They are indoctrinated beyond belief and fear americans gravely. No doubt they all heard that two bombers flew test runs through S Korea yesterday too.

  I realise that this spoilt little kid is just mouthing off, he released in the state newspaper, photos of missile attacks on the USA with a map titled "USA Land Strikes" or something similar. I don't believe he could achieve this, this is rhetoric for the people. But will he hit the big red button and point the missiles towards Japan and S Korea ??.... I think he possibly will. He has called war with S Korea "moments away" and "inevitable".

  As for the USA, It is possible he has delivery mechanisms to take nukes to Alaska, but likely that is all. If they go for it with Japan and SK, I assume he will fire at the US if he can. The press stated they have prepared all their missiles and are ready to go.

  I have been concerned about N K for years, most people interested in politics, global events have. For years we have heard him and his father spout nonsense, attack local nations periodically etc.... But this really, really feels different.

  I can't help but wonder how the recent birth of his first child, a daughter has not made him see the world differently.

  Ps I am sure, based on the expert opinion, that he can't hit the US mainland as they claim, so civilians need not be alarmed. But soldiers may face a different story soon. Hopefully not.

  Just heard that USA dropped dummy bomb over Korea just for practice. Not the brightest thing to do I would have thought.

  I was inquiring about this very subject with a friend, it's seems Terry may be correct as far as the US is concerned.

  I was told it's not Korea we have to worry about, it's Korea crying to China. If China wanted to parachute into the US, they would cursh us. They not only out populate the US, they have the tech.

  He had noted the US needs to worry about Israel . They not only have maga amounts of money, their hands are in every pot and use the US to do their dirty work many times over. And if we don't help get that oil from Iran, they'll put the screws to the US. Not only that, he mentioned they will point the finger at the US, step aside, and let us get flattened.

  Still Finkelstein, not smart... The dry runs by the bombers yesterday has been called reckless in some press too.

  There is a nutter holding a red button that could seriously damage and kill millions in Japan and South Korea, lets not throw rocks at his door, especially when he has cut off all means of negotiations & communication.

  As for China, they too have distanced themselves from NK, as have Russia. Both have reduced aid to NK. China has just halted a shipment of oil. But sure, China doesn't want a Korea at peace, as this is likely a SK dominated country and they are huge allies with the USA. Its all a bit 'dodgy'... But China are in the UN and the UN will not condone these actions, who on earth is going to appease this spoilt brat by giving him aid back whilst he points missiles at everyone. It is not a good precedent for future negotiations with armed countries. Without the aid, the country dies, so will KIM take a kick to his pride and reduce the nuke program and cancel military threats, or is he too proud, will he go down with the ship? Its a tight call...
