"The whole program was full of conflicting statements"

I could not agree more.Yet the r&f will accept that crap.

I can't believe people with brains cannot see the hypocrisy of the gb.

Data-dog, Thanks for sharing your "private beliefs."

It's interesting, isn't it? Once you wake up, almost everything the WT publishes and almost everything the elders say is a conflicting mess of confusing hyperbole and incoherent "theological" nonsense. Contradiction this and contradiction that.

It actually becomes hard to find valuable points worthy of consideration. They're there, but few and far between.

sauerkraut: sadly many Witnesses will drive home and feel ashamed because they have doubts inside.

That's the idea! That's why they say this. It's a classic techique of manipultors.

sauerkraut: Most will sit there and blame evil Catholics for their filthiness and child abuse cases, unaware that their own religion is no better, worse even because no one in the Organization ever stands up to do something about it.

This is not true. Many in the organization have "stood up" and "spoken out" about this terrible abuse. Without exception, every single one has been disfellowshipped as a reward for their outspoken stand for what is right.

There are many examples, but Barbara Anderson comes to mind first. Perhaps you're not familiar with her or her story. She was a Bethel insider for nearly eleven years and a member of the Watchtower’s Writing Department. On her website she provides remarkable insight into the workings of the organization, particularly in reference to the scandal involving the cover-ups of pedophiles.

You might find her website informative:

(James 1:13) . . .When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone.

But when I post things on a forum I want to be sure I'm being accurate, so I'll look it up.

What does this mean? Are you saying God allows you to disobey him because you are doing research for another forum, and you are coming here for information? Please explain this to me.

Watcher, is this not just like the WTS being a UN NGO for the purpose of securing a library pass to the UN Library?

Once again, just following the example of the F&DS Class.

What if we have trouble with " new teachings" ? Have we ever had trouble, are we having trouble right now? What can you do?!

    2) Talk to the Elders they will assist you with the publications to understand! Remember Proverbs 4:18!!

A friends of mine just did that very thing!

Now he CANNOT TALK to ANY JW! They DFd him.
