I haven't met a single JW that could care less about the new mag format let alone multiples... and "complaining"? meh. nobody cares.

The dissappointment from the friends is real in my hall. Mostly long-time sisters that feel the magazines are no longer meaty. Many of these sisters survive on magazine routes, and I think they're feeling like the householders are going to be dissappointed. Too bad they don't realize the householder will probably be happier and might actually read an article now that they're thinner magazines.
I also think the reduction from two Awake and Watchtower magaines for the public per month down to one was absorbed by the hype of the JW-only Study Edition addition. But now cutting the magazines in half is confusing the friends, since there's no cool additional thing. I am not even sure it's a cognitive dissonance problem kicking in that they can't put thier finger on. I just think they're conditioned that more stuff from The Slave is a good thing. How are they now to understand the concept of "less food" being a good thing?

Nah..... WT cannot do that. Two reasons a) yellow ink costs more and, more importantly b) the elders cannot look over your shoulder as they walk down the aisle to see if you "studied" (i.e., highlighted) your WT on Sunday.... esp true if DF and trying to get reinstated... proving you are coming back to being a good little mind numbed dubbie.
my JW mom has not mentioned these new improvements to the wt and g! rags. Looks like the Golden Age of the Watchtower is over....

I actually heard old JWs saying they like the new format of the Watch-tract and "Awake" tracts. I asked about the claim of the Watchtower repeatedly asking for money other than their classic "Fall Donation Arragement Magazine" we are all use to. Northern California is not buzzing with complaining JWs, I doubt anyone wanted to read more tracts.

So for the public, in the past few years they've gone from four 32 page mags, to two 16 page mags.
That's a huge reduction, from 128 pages per calendar month to 32!
They do print the 32 page in-house watchtower, but the circulation for that must only be 8million, not the claimed 40 gaztrillion for the others.
On the plus side, for the dubs, at least hopefully they won't have to read those stupid filler articles in AWAKE! aka "Was it designed: The Doohicky's Thingamabob"

WallofJerico, I can't imagine any JW complaining their magazines have dropped in size! They could not keep up with their reading previously, nothing but happy lunatics enjoying their "rationed size" spiritual meal!
